SCSFE 2005 EARLY REGISTRATION & CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS, ENTRIES
The Seventh Annual Screenwriting Conference in Santa Fe (SCSFe) is coming soon,
and the early registration deadline is just around the corner. Those
preregistering by March 31st, 2005 receive a tuition discount, and stand a
better chance of getting the mentor and producers of their choice.
Volunteers are needed to help the conference run smoothly, e.g., drivers, site
workers, hall monitors and hospitality assistants. Anyone can volunteer today
to help New Mexico's film industry grow by calling (505) 424-1501.
SCSFe, "Hollywood's Best-Kept Secret," will add even more producers looking for
scripts to The Hollywood Connection. Mentors will offer three Academy Classes
for the advanced writers this year, and the conference has a new home: the
beautiful Radisson Santa Fe. SCSFe attendee Eric Schneider asserts, "I learned
more practical stuff in two hours than I did in one year at NYU."
Entries are also being accepted for the Actors' Choice Awards screenwriting
competition. Scripts will be read in front of peers and professionals by SCSFe's
acting troupe, and forwarded to visiting producers as well. And winning authors
qualify for prizes. Deadline for entry into the ACA is April 23rd, 2005.
Tips for success from SCSFe's founder, Larry N Stouffer, are available through
www.scsfe.com.
