AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL SCREENPLAY, TELEPLAY AND FILM COMPETITIONS CALL
FOR ENTRIES:
Austin Film Festival is now accepting entries for the 2008 Screenplay
and Teleplay Competitions. Categories include Drama and Comedy, each
with a cash prize of $5000. You may also choose to have your script
considered for the Latitude and Sci-Fi Awards, each with a cash prize
of $2500. Please email alex@... with any questions.

Semifinalist and finalist scripts are judged by production company
representatives, who have in the past included representatives from
The Donners' Company, Village Roadshow Pictures, Saturn Films,
Whitelight Entertainment, Fortis Films, Liveplanet, Protozoa Pictures,
Nickelodeon Movies, Focus Features, Fox Broadcasting, and WB.

The early screenplay deadline is May 15th and the late deadline and
Teleplay deadline is June 1st.

We are also happy to announce we are open for film entries for the
2008 festival. Last year AFF screened over 175 films and looks to keep
growing this year! Films screen in a variety of sections and in six
competitive categories: Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Narrative
Student Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, Animated Short.
The early deadline is June 5th and the late deadline is July 5th.
