If you re-read the story (as I had to due to shock) - JB never states that he would put them in a movie together.  Read again:

He doesn't actually state that the film would be one film - sounds more like the press messed up (typical) and that he would like to work with them on different projects they would be passionate about.

At least I am HOPING that is what happened.......

Sneak preview the all-new Yahoo.com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.

Hate to nitpick, but it says; he has the perfect vehicle in mind.
That's on vehicle, so one movie. I wonder if Bana would. Then again,
stranger things have happened.

Oh man, a pig just flew by my window, hihihi.

I will be the first to say that Avi Arad is an idiot and this "re-do" of Hulk is a slap in the face to the first films director and crew and is the equivilent of spitting on their hard work.  What a jerk.

IFMagazine.com Exclusive Interview: AVI ARAD TALKS INCREDIBLE HULK DO-OVER, IRON MAN & MARVEL CARTOONS

The now independant producer talks about the future of Marvel Films ..

By: SEAN ELLIOTT Associate Editor Published: 6/9/2006

Avi Arad now an independent producer for Marvel still has his fingers in several pies for the comic book giant. Following the success of Marvel’s forays into filmmaking thus far, Arad is preparing to herald in a new era for Marvel, with the company producing it’s own movies. iF talked to Arad about the choices for Marvel “in-house” producing, and what other projects including TV and cartoons are in the works at the film side of The House of Ideas.

iF MAGAZINE: IRON MAN and THE INCREDIBLE HULK are the first Marvel produced films that Marvel is producing “in-house”, why these particular heroes?

AVI ARAD: We wanted to start this journey with absolutely top, top tier characters and IRON MAN is at the level of X-MEN and SPIDER-MAN and HULK. SPIDER-MAN is a league of its own, but after that you have X-MEN, IRON MAN, HULK. These are the big guns, and obviously we want to continue the train of success once we are making our own [films]. A lot of people are looking forward to IRON MAN and a lot of people are looking forward to the comic book version of the HULK. That’s the one we are making, and I think it will be incredibly satisfying. It will be big and awesome and a big ride.

iF: So will you be recasting HULK with completely new actors?

ARAD: It’s a “do-over”. I loved the HULK movie, it was just a different approach, and it wasn’t exactly the comic. We want to be much closer to the comic. It’s what we would rather do.

iF: There is a THOR film in the works as well?

ARAD: Yes, we're in [the] scripting [stage] right now.

iF: How about a LUKE CAGE movie?

ARAD: Nothing going right now, still trying to find the right take.

iF: What about the project Wesley Snipes has wanted to do, THE BLACK PANTHER?

ARAD: We are waiting for a very specific actor for that one.

iF: Beyond IRON MAN and HULK, what other films will be produced by Marvel itself?

ARAD: The NICK FURY movie and the ANT MAN movie for sure.

iF: The BLADE series is premiering this summer. How is that progressing?

ARAD: We’re very excited about that, and we’re slated for thirteen episodes.

iF: What cartoons do you have premiering on TV?

ARAD: We’ve got a new FANTASTIC FOUR cartoon. We’ve got a new WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN cartoon; it’s going to be based on the comics. We’re going to do another Sony SPIDER-MAN cartoon. We are probably going to do an IRON MAN cartoon after the movie.

iF: What directors would you like to work with that you haven’t worked with so far?

ARAD: I like them all. If I give you five names, then the sixth will be upset, so it’s a lose-lose situation.

iF: Switching to toys how do the new HASBRO toy lines look in comparison to the previous TOY BIZ lines?

ARAD: TOY BIZ is very involved in the design of the toys, but the distribution will be through HASBRO. The scale isn’t going to change.

I saw something about this a while back, but what I read gave the impression that Johnny Depp and Eric were both being considered for the Hutchence role.  Appearance wise I think Johnny would be pretty good, but Eric ? maybe the article I read had got hold of the wrong end of the stick !

might be one of those watch and see things (like the Munich 2 disc ed.
being released outside the US...).
I think Bana is one of those actors that always have rumours about
next projects flying around.
Hopefully though, we will soon be treated to Lucky you, then followed
by Romulus (lets keep our fingers crossed that this movie will be
released outside Banaland.

Worm wriggles through Yahoo mail flaw

A new worm that targets Yahoo e-mail users is on the loose, taking advantage of an JavaScript flaw, a security company has warned.

The Yamanner worm targets all versions of Yahoo Web-based mail except the latest beta version, Symantec said in an advisory released Monday.

At the time of the advisory, there was no patch for the vulnerability. But by later on Monday, Yahoo said it had come up with a fix for the flaw, which it said had affected very few of its customers.

"We have taken steps to resolve the issue and protect our users from further attacks of this worm. The solution has been automatically distributed to all Yahoo Mail customers, and requires no additional action on the part of the user," a Yahoo representative said.

Both Yahoo and Symantec are encouraging people to update the antivirus definitions on their PCs.

Yamanner arrives in a Yahoo mailbox bearing the subject header "New Graphic Site." Once the message is opened, the computer becomes infected and the worm spreads itself to people on the Yahoo e-mail contact list. The harvested e-mail addresses are also sent to a remote online server, which Symantec suspects may use the information for spam campaigns.

"The worm is taking a pretty novel approach," said Dean Turner, senior manager of Symantec Security Response. "It takes advantage of a JavaScript vulnerability, so the user doesn't even have to click on an attachment to get infected."

Yamanner exploits the Yahoo flaw by enabling the scripts that are embedded in HTML e-mails to be run by the user's Web browser.

The worm, which was spotted in the wild early this morning, has hit the remote server more than 100,000 times, forwarding Yahoo e-mail addresses harvested from unsuspecting users, Turner said.

Although the worm is spreading quickly, and no patch has been issued, Symantec is rating the threat a "2." The security vendor uses a 1-to-5 rating system, with "5" as its most severe category.

"Antivirus definitions have been released for it, and Yahoo is working on a patch, so we don't want to cry wolf," Turner said. "Although there is the potential the worm will affect a larger number of people, for now to raise it to another (higher) level would be inappropriate."

He added it is premature to predict whether this worm will morph into other forms and attack other browser-based forms of e-mail, such as Google's Gmail.

Systems affected include Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP, according to Symantec's advisory.

Subject: (ERIC-BANA-RAMA): Virus Warning for group

I am afraid that this happens from time to time and in the past years our group has been hit along with others.  Here is some information that can help.

Source of story:  http://uk.news.yahoo.com/13062006/325/yahoo-hit-worm.html

Yahoo, the world's largest provider of e-mail services, said on Monday that a software virus aimed at Yahoo Mail users had infected "a very small fraction" of its base of more than 200 million accounts.

The e-mail virus, or worm, has been dubbed Yamanner and landed in Yahoo mailboxes bearing the headline "New Graphic Site." Once opened, the message infects the computer and spreads to other users listed in Yahoo users' e-mail address books, security experts said.

The real catch with this worm is that, unlike most software, you don't have to click on an attachment to be infected. Merely opening the message will cause the worm to start working its way into your PC. The best defense in a situation like this one is a good offense. If you get a message in your inbox like this one, DO NOT open it. Delete it immediately.

Also, make sure your firewall and antivirus programs are updated. If you don't have either, there are a couple of excellent programs you can download (ZoneAlarm Firewall and AVG Antivirus). Both are free for personal use, and provide updates on a regular basis.  Yahoo offers a free “Security Center” also but I recommend additional software to back it up.

I love that scene with Eric on the cot, for very obvious and shallow reasons !  I'd like to see the full extended version, wonder if it's possible to rent in the UK.
A scan of the cover and screencaps would be wonderful !
BTW how is your arm now ?

I got my DVD yesterday and haven’t had a chance to watch but half of it and that was interrupted a lot by the phone, family and friends.  I did want to say that I am glad that I bought it.  Some of the things added back so far were not in the deleted scenes.  Sadly the scene where Eric is talking to William F. about the ammo while lying on a cot is not included.
I was really impressed with how seamless the footage was added back in.  The little bits tell the story so much better and fill it out.  For those, like myself, that know the movie by heart, the new scenes are easy to pick out.
I can hardly wait to see the movie in its entirety uninterrupted and by the way…Eric is on the cover and in the main menu.  It is really nice that they have recognized him as a major player in the movie.
I will see if I can get some time set aside for a scan of the DVD cover and maybe some screen caps.

I think it was me who originally posted the baby pic on this site, I got it from the

picture (was it different?). If it's the same one Mona posted it
couldn't be Klaus since the FF season it was from was 1993. Also
could not be the car since the EB Show was 1997....Klaus was born in
1999. Baby pics of Eric hard to come by so I was very
intrigued...thanks Mona!

P.S. Does anyone know? I have Full Frontal Series 1 Vol 1 and 2
(total of 4 discs). I notice Mona has screen caps of episodes not
on either set of DVDs. Does anyone know where to buy any other
DVDs? Were they ever released, or was it just Series One that got
released on DVD?

Hey,
I have heard of an account somewhere from somebody who posts under
that name. Some people not only have a very vivid imagination, but
also like to start rumours.
Think about it. This is a guy who is working hard at his job, has
active hobbies that take up a lot of time and says he enjoys spending
time with his family and friends. He has two young kids, that he
doesn't have a lot of time with.
Would he be spending time on the internet telling the whole world that
there are problems in his marriage and exactly what these are, when he
has so many other priorities?

Also, he seems to be a very private person who "dissapears" from the
public eye when he is not working. I don't think he would be writing
things online at all, let alone under his own name.

I think it's a shame that people who write stories like that do not
come right out and disclaim. Anybody who has ever wrote fanfic and has
some style and class writes a disclaimer stating that the characters
do not belong to them and they do not know the people in real life.

If this person does not do that, then you know the type of individual
you're dealing with.

If you enjoy reading stories about Bana, check out some fanfic, there
is some good stuff out there. Or re-read some of the interviews he has
done in the past. I wouldn't go near stories by people who use his
name. I feel that they make fools out of those of us who really enjoy
fanfic and take writing seriously.

But hey, to each his own. Just don't take it seriously, that would be
my advise.

Isis

THIS FLOATED AROUND FOR A WHILE AND APPEARS TO BE COMING TO FRUITION
BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING:

Portman and Bana flirting with 'Boleyn'

By Tatiana Siegel

Natalie Portman and Eric Bana are in final negotiations to topline
Columbia Pictures' "The Other Boleyn Girl." Justin Chadwick has
signed on to direct the historical drama, which is based on a novel
by Philippa Gregory.

The story revolves around the ferociously ambitious Boleyn sisters,
Mary and Anne (Portman), who are rivals for the bed and heart of
16th century English King Henry VIII (Bana). Peter Morgan ("The Last
King of Scotland") adapted the screenplay.

Shooting is set to begin in late September in Europe.

BBC Films, which originally acquired book rights and made a 2003
telefilm starring Natascha McElhone, also is a producer on the film.
Alison Owen, who partnered with BBC to make a big-screen version of
the story, will serve as a producer on the Columbia project
alongside BBC's David Thompson. Scott Rudin, who set the film up
with Columbia, will executive produce. Focus Features has the option
to acquire international rights.

Sony's Amy Baer and Rachel O'Connor are overseeing for the studio.

Portman recently toplined "V for Vendetta." The Oscar-nominated
actress' ("Closer") credits include "Free Zone," "Garden State"
and "Cold Mountain." She is repped by CAA, Brillstein-Grey and
attorney George Sheanshang.

Bana, who most recently starred in Steven Spielberg's "Munich," next
appears in Curtis Hanson's "Lucky You." He is repped by WMA and
attorney Robert Offer.

Chadwick's helming credits include last year's "Bleak House," the
BAFTA-winning TV series based on a Charles Dickens' novel. "Boleyn"
marks his first feature film. He is repped by UTA and ICM London

LOOKS LIKE OUR ERIC IS 'SAFE' FROM TOM CRUISE (FOR NOW). HOWEVER,
IF MANGOLD HAS NEVER MADE A FILM COSTING MORE THAN 60M, THEN HOW DID
TOM CRUISE FIGURE INTO THE MIX ANYWAY? HE THINKS HE'S WORTH 60M PER
PIC ALL ON HIS ONESIE! MAKES SENSE THAT THEY WERE COURTING CROWE IN
HIS STEAD. TAKE A LOOK:

Sony no longer going to Yuma
Posted by Clint Morris on June 23, 2006
Remember the Eric Bana/Tom Cruise western "3:10 To Yuma", that we
waxed lyrical about a couple of months back?

Well, but a memory it may only be, with Sony deciding this week that
they're not interested in doing the film at present.

Variety reports that the film is in turnaround, signalling a case of
déjà vu for director James Mangold, whose "Walk the Line" suffered a
similar fate at Sony before it eventually got before a camera
elsewhere.

Mangold can't work out why the film has been called off, because it
was a pretty economically priced pic. "This is a very middle-priced
movie," Mangold argued. "I've never made a movie that has exceeded
$60 million, and this one won't either."

It has been suggested that Russell Crowe was in talks for a role –
it isn't stated whether he was going to play the role intended for
Cruise, or whether he was replacing Eric Bana – and that his fee may
have left Sony with cold feet.

His defence? "Westerns have come to mean a kind of narcissistic,
ponderous film - and that ain't what we're making," Mangold
said. "We're making something with balls, taste and emotion. And I
think it's something that's an answer to the kind of saturated,
digital overload we're seeing on screens. This is about real people
and real action. I have the utmost respect for Sony, Amy Pascal,
Doug Belgrad, and I can't explain why it wouldn't fit into what
they're doing. The only explanation I have is that when push came to
shove it wasn't going."

According to Mangold, Crowe is still very much interested in doing
the film, and he hopes to find it a new home. Wouldn't be surprised
if FOX snag it.

The proliferation of poker productions continues — with at least three big-screen movies in addition to such TV fare as celebrity poker tourneys and reality TV. With Curtis Hanson's "Lucky You" drama with Robert Duvall, Drew Barrymore, Eric Bana and Jean Smart, due Sept. 15, Joe Carnahan's "Smokin' Aces" is in a hold 'em mode — now due in January. That's the action-comedy with a cast including Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Alicia Keys and Jason Bateman.

Drew Barrymore and Eric Bana publicity still from "Lucky You" - click for full size

And now, add to the lineup "Positively Fifth Street." If all goes as planned, writer/producer/director John Ridley ("Undercover Brother," "Three Kings," "Barbershop: The Series") reports he'll be helming the big-screen adaptation of the James McManus novel in the fall.

"We finished the screenplay and we're really close to going after some actors and making some money offers," says Ridley. "It's Jim's true story of playing an unbelievable string of poker in the World Series of Poker at the casino owned by the Binion family while a murder trial was going on, because Ken Binion had been murdered by his mistress.

"Jim almost became an investigative journalist looking back on this guy's life and how he ended up getting murdered by his stripper girlfriend. What's more Las Vegas than that? It'll make a really terrific, very adult film."

Ridley is juggling preproduction on that flick with work on his latest hot comic strip series, "The American Way," about a black superhero dealing with the politics and civil rights of the early '60s, a talk show he's developing for Showtime and his duties as a correspondent for the award-winning PBS newsmagazine show "California Connected."

On the next segment, which gets its L.A. premiere Friday (and can be found on california connected.org), Ridley uncorks the bogus business of bottled water. "You assume it's clean, as did I, but it doesn't take much research to find there's not a lot of standards for bottled water," he says.

According to him, about one-quarter of bottled water is just tap water, and a good percentage is not even as pure.

Village Roadshow Pictures is showing Lucky You in the Upcoming Features with a release date of October 13, 2006. Many websites report that it is scheduled to open in national release (USA) on September 15, 2006. The Warner Bros. website still has nothing on it as of today. I would still like to hear from Warner Bros. though for the official word since they were the primary in the production. Company Credits for Lucky You
