It's been reported in a few places, including here,

o/ that a third writer has been brought in to revamp the script for the McG
version of 20,000 Leagues. Sounds like there's still debate over just what the
script will cover, although these latest stories indicate that the Captain Nemo
backstory is back in the mix.
