Cool, I like it. Even the shape of his head is good. Some ppl when they draw
Gelfling they draw their heads normal like a human and they forget that Gelfing
heads have a different shape. I wonder since Gelfling seem to have more
powerful brains than humans(dreamfasting) I wonder if learning a lot of the
mental powers of a Jedi would come easier to them.. Combining the advanced
mental powers of a Jedi with that of a Gelfling would be interesting to see how
that would work. I also wonder if the channels of dreamfasting are the same of
that of the force.
Yeah, I figured that if you take Dreamfasting into account, Gelfling (or maybe
even any sentient creature on Thra) were especially Force sensitive. But then
again, I can't really imagine a lightsaber wielding UrRu. UrSkek, yes. UrRu, no.
Thanks for the compliments on the 'muzzle'. That was something that truly
bothered me in the Dark Crystal Manga, they looked like people, basically. It
gave me a sort of disconnect. "These aren't gelfling! C'mon guys, you can do
better!"

Well it's not that I didn't enjoy Heidi Arnhold's artwork in the manga I mean I
thought it was good but yeah I noticed that too they very often lacked that
Gelfling shaped face they very often just looked like humans with pointed ears
(and wings in the case of the women). However you could see it in some scenes
like the first chapter when Lahr gets knocked on his ass by a garthim and he's
looking down you can see the Gelfling muzzle but you're right for the most part.
Which sucks because I happen to think that the animal like face(cat?.. mouse?..
some kind of animal anyways.) that the Gelfling have is one of the things that
makes them so cool. I dunno maybe why, perhaps it's because humans tend to have
an affinity for animals in the first place so perhaps that is why Gelfling faces
are so much more visually stimulating as opposed to other pointy eared races
like elves that appear in other fantasy stories who just have normal faces.
Also too unlike elves Gelfing ears aren't just pointy but they move, you know
like animal ears move.. Like the scene where Jen is in the swamp looking at the
shard and he hears a noise and as he raises his head his ears also perk up.. I
know it's tiny detail but it's cool as all hell to watch.

I know!
They move like horse's ears! It's a subtle and great detail.
And I've always loved gelfling faces. They're very delicate looking and unique.
Gelfling are so awesome.
