kidnapping  Skeksis to make urSkeks that come apart whenever the Skeksis escape
them.

Podlings rightly point out that the Skeksis did both.

Are Gelflings really all that perfect of a race? In the manga, the
Gelflings did end up waging war against their tormentors and apparently
took on the Japanese war stragedy of "fighting til the last man of the
clan falls". If you think about it realistically, there is no such
thing as a perfect race. Even deities can make mistakes.

I might write my own Dark Crystal Gaiden (Alternate universe) fanfics
one day, explaining why the Skeksis are evil and the flaws of every
race, both good and bad.
