Furcadia is the only place of the sort that I have access to, and me being a
pixel artist it is possible for me to try an attempt at a proper DC dream on
furcadia, but I don't know how to use custom patches/avatars/ports on furcadia,
so that kinda messes up the idea I had generally. But yes, I rp two different DC
characters on furcadia - ZokZah and SkekZok.
I have heard of SecondLife actually on a report about it a few months ago, but I
know not much about it. In truth, now you have said that, it sounds like not too
bad an idea to me, and similar to the general idea I initially had with
furcadia.
To not only have the ability to not only just rp, but to have somewhere that
would actually simulate Thra...

So you are RPing DC characters in Furcadia, that's really cool. But, If you
or someone else wanted to really get into some DC Roleplay and some simulation
of Thra as well, the place you should go is "SecondLife". It might be somewhat
costly to buy and/or rent an island "Sim" from Linden Labs or a "Land Owner" but
if you got enough people, you could split the cost among the group and setup a
full simulation and RP area just dedicated to The Dark Crystal. The service only
charges "Land Owners" so everyone else could get free basic accounts to visit
the simulation. Because free tools are available for doing 3D graphic builds, it
would be possible to create all the major DC sets and create DC character
"Avatars" for people to wear for their roleplay or just for fun. Once made, Thra
"Sim" visitor L$ donations could be collected and DC "Avatars" and their
accessories could be sold at the "Sim" for L$ to help offset the cost of rental
fees. The only drawback I can see is that
you need a computer with a compatible 128MB or better Nvidia or ATI video card
and a DSL or Cable modem connection to run the Secondlife client properly.
Still, the fans of "Harry Potter" created a wonderful 3D simulation which they
roleplay in. If you are interested in the service you can learn more at
www.secondlife.com Hmmm, maybe I should make a Gelfling avatar for myself. All
I would need to make is the clothing and edit an existing human shape. That
would not be too hard actually. But it would be nice to have a dedicated sim to
play in, and that requires a group effort to be successful. Otherwise, I would
end up feeling like Jen, the one and only lone Gelfling lost in the entire huge
world of the SecondLife grid (T_T)
Best Regards,

To me it sounds like a pretty good idea, although I personally would say
- It would be better if you created such rp on a place that more people could
access. I mean, I'd really enjoy a DC rp, but I don't use either of those sites
you mentioned...in fact I've never heard of the second one. .....
.....Just my opinion on things *shrugs* You don't really have to take it into
account. I'll just continue rping DC characters on Furcadia...
