A few of us in the Greenville Browncoats were at our monthly karaoke get
together when a
bright idea came up. We would like to propose to create a charity CD. Below
are some of
the details that we discussed.

We would like a have a song on the disc for each of the Firefly characters and
then a few
originals. Also, the end of the disc would have us singing the Ballad of
Serenity (a copula
of course). Some examples we came up with were Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive for
Jayne,
Godsmack's Serenity for Mal, It's My Turn to Fly for Wash, and several others.
We were
thinking of coming up with about five or so songs to choose from for each
character and
then putting them to a vote.

We were thinking of selling the CD for about 10 dollars. I know a company that
can
produce the CD for 4 dollars. With the remaining 6 dollars, we would like it to
go to
Equality Now and the local Red Cross here in Greenville, South Carolina

We wanted to send out this email to get some responses on the idea and see what
the
other SC browncoats thought about it. And maybe get some inputs on songs.
