Well, I'm sure most of you folks are aware of KaijuZoo and John
Groff's custom painting services. I'm quite pleased to say that I now
have a piece of unique artwork by John in the form of a custom M-1
glow Manda! And it's just gorgeous!
Now, I love my glowies! John worked with me on designing the
color/paint scheme I wanted to see on this piece. He took an unpainted
glow Manda and came up with a way NOT ONLY to make the figure
absolutely stunning under normal light, but ALSO look so characterful
while glowing in the dark!
I was just telling him the other day that I find that paint jobs on
many glow vinyls unfortunately look more like afterthoughts than
really well thought-out decoration. It's just not that easy to come up
with a color/paint scheme on glow vinyl that works for the character
in both light conditions! I think John has done a stellar job at this!
Here are a few feeble attempts of mine to photograph it (keep in mind,
I have little idea what I'm doing with this camera and I sure have no
idea how to photograph it glowing!):

And here are some taken by John, himself. I'm not sure if he's made a
webpage for all of them yet. Just check KaijuZoo.com in the coming days!!

All in all, I highly recommend his work. If you've seen his website
and have wondered about contracting his services, definitely go for
it! John's a great guy--he'll take the time to work with you to
understand what you have in mind (and, of course, add his own
suggestions based on his experience). His work is impeccable and very
reasonably priced.
Cheers!
