dust gets into everything, even into glass cabinets if they're not airtight
tho i do find glasss display cases to be the best
of course the amout of dust is also much less
other than that, u really don't have much of a choice other than dusting....
u can keep the current shelves and add a glass door to them
IKEA has some good chices of glass doors u can add on
thinking about getting them for my current open shelves
tho they are kind of pricey and w/ the amount of shelves they will add up~
