Clare in Vegas - Some Responses



Well,



LOOKS V/S OTHER



The descriptions of Clare's fiance were

carefully chosen by us after some thinking.



He's not a male model like her friend

Emilie de Ravin's Josh is.



But he's obviously Clare's choice and

that's good enough for us. Plus he's

a very open and likeable guy.



Who treats Clare the way she DESERVES to be treated.



We had watched, before we left, Fabio's first

episode of "Mr. Romance" where they did a survey

in the markets of women of all ages.



And the #1 things, something like, what, 80%, wanted

was a guy with a sense of humor.



A few wanted Fabio-ish types, like Emilie's Josh,

but a surprisingly small percentage.



THAT FIRST ON-SCREEN KISS WAS...?



Even in our initial post, we questioned Clare's first guy kiss

memory. Skulls III was another she forgot, though we

actually talked about the movie when we noted it was the most

common "Clare Kramer" auto-search item on e-bay.



Clare then confirmed that she beat the movie's director(?)

in pool in Toronto during the filming. As was the story.



And what about her "Random Years" TV series episode in

early 2002?



In Clare's defense, before the 3 hour dinner she'd been up

until 4 AM Saturday morning gambling with Brian and others.

And had spend over 5 hours in the grueling elimination &

final round poker tournament.



Occasionally sipping slowly on her new favorite drink,

Absolut & diet coke. In the distant past, it used to be

Jack & coke.



Plus she wanted to try out the high-end steak house's (inside the

casino) cabernet, instead of her usual merlot wine. She was probably

pretty darn worn-out by then.



As an example, in her intense participation in our talkaton

dinner, she did say, when we were all discussing Shakespearean

authorship, that she favored "Bob, no, Robert Baker" - she meant

Roger Bacon.



She was obvoiously tiring.



And we proceeded to present to Camden & Clare the case for Edward de

Vere - in capsule form. Sort of what Tess presents to that Clare

in Part 4 of "Three Days in Sunnydale" (2001).

We were surprised that most of the embedded links in this going

And told Clare that we'd sent her Anderew Field's masterful

1997 "The lost chronicle of Edward de Vere: Lord Great Chamberlain",

CLARE AT YOUNG HOLLYWOOD



Thanks, Art, for the link, since all our initial photos were of Clare

after she changed from jeans to the black dress for dinner - and

pulled her shorter hair back. The YH event was only 3 days before the

photos we took.

SLAYER CRUISE



But, Both she & Brian are going on the June Slayer cruise.



We'd already put our shipboard dining preferences to Clare's table.



And told Clare we'd now have to go back online & search the names to

add Brian to the table also. Since at the time we didn't know anyone

but us, Froggy & maybe Brenda, were going specifically for Clare.

Plus, she said she'd approach Emilie de Ravin & see if she was in L.A.

late July  & wanted to do an interview, etc. Since we're coming in

several days before & after the July L.A. Angel Bash. To visit Clare

& Brian - and Diana, who's having a baby about 8/1/05.

Can't put up the 3 photos of them together until they send us

the Egyptian photoshoot images they took (see our original post)

on the day (apparently ) he popped the question in early Nov 2004.



If you note the text for the Camden Toy photo- with Clare in the

background, we had to crop Brian out of that one on the left. Clare

is talking to him. Until we examined the image we didn't even realize

he was in the edges of it.



The other two, as we said, were poses for us to put up when we got

the Egyptian photos as they were formally announcing their engagement

publicly. Hopefully it won't be too long. But we got no date - nor

a wedding date. Except Clare did say that her family kept pressing

them to set a date.



Clare was somewhat reluctant to sent photos of when she and a model

squeezed between the bars to King Tut's tomb in Egypt so that Brian

and the other guy with the model could take photos of them posing

(and clowning) beside the actual gold sarcophagus. Brian had 'bribed'

the caretakers to allow Clare and the other girl to squeeze thru the

bars.



Clare was worried that the caretakers, who were only taking care of

their families, or she & Brian, would get into trouble. We told her

we really wanted those photos - but it's Clare's decision.



We'll see...



We have about 15 handwritten pages of stuff we talked about, mostly

during the 3 hour dinner that lasted until almost 11 PM Saturday

night. This will be put into vignettes with the existing photos and,

soon, the selected ones from Froggy's events CD.



We took no photos in the restaurant. Too busy talking and

occasionally eating. Clare said that from the age of 7 until 19

(at NYU) she was a vegan, but always ate cheese anyway. At times,

as a teen, she was down to a Mary-Kate Olsen-sh 87 pounds.



It was only after she got the Wendy's mascot job at 14, and made

commercials with Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, that they discovered

that she was a vegetarian. And didn't eat their hamburgers.



Her mascot days ended abruptly, Clare said, when puberty kicked

in all the way.



Also, that for 2 years (8-9 years old or so, we think) she would

only eat with chopsticks.



And she's allergic to shellfish, but not to milk - which she never

has drank since being weaned from breast milk. She drank juices only

after that. Grape juice, etc., with her solid foods.



We'd earlier noted (Toronto) that she didn't eat or drink any milk

product except lots of cheese. The homemade granola cereal that she

had in Cairo on the photoshoot she told us about - she eats it dry...

When we went to Fusion May 2004, Clare had just recently moved out of

a years long rooming with BIO's Bianca Kalich - as she confirmed in

our site interview with her.



She said she was living in a house now.



It appears that was probably when they started living together - OUR

deduction only. And the Feb 2005 move to their L.A. Sherman Oaks home

was from that first house. Clare said that the larger home was

originally built in 1951 - but with the price of homes in L.A., we

assume that it was rebuilt several times since then.



Clare said she intends to put in a pool.



Because she mentioned having been back to the Dallas area home

as far back as maybe (we interpret) several (or a few) years, we

deduce again that that was the one area and home that they could be

together without revealing their relationship to the outside world.

Actually, we and Brian were talking about what we'd done for the

Columbus gallery. How we waited for kids of all ages to come to

Clare's table. And then shot like mad, knowing we'd get Clare in

great candids working with the kids.



He seemed quite pleased with Clare being so taken with kids.

And our highlighting her with them so much.



Incidentally, the Stacey Keathley we noted at the bottom of

Clare & Stacey's "Kids 4 Kids" card from Columbus - She's Brian's

older sister, he said.

  formal gallery and await Froggy's official CD for us. Which is

  more comprehensive then the regular attendee's photo CD.



-We're also in the process of adding the Pittsburgh event & links to

  Clare's 2005 schedule on the site. LJ said that Clare had so much fun

  she's already committed to a redo event in early December 2005. So

  we'll add that also.



  LJ was asking about suggestions. We wanted Clare's friend Emilie

  de Ravin (Roswell, LOST) to at least be asked. Though Clare said

  she'd approach Emilie (they are both managed by DGM)about us

  meeting  and possibly interviewing her when we come in days early

  (& leave late) for the late July L.A. Angel Bash event to visit

  Clare & Brian. Hey, she said yes...

     Gloriana, it's always great to read your posts!!!  Little tidbits

about one of my favorite actresses!!!  Hopefully soon, there will be

lots of pics!!!  Vegan, ha!!!  Sorry to hear about that -- hehehe!!!

Hey, since they are moving to Sherman Oaks, they might be my new

neighbor!!!  Since it's a small city in the L.A. area known as the

San Fernando Valley, it's only about 8 square miles!!!  I'm pretty

sure they're moving to one of the nicer, more expensive houses in the

hills.  Probably near lots of other actors , who all live in the same

general area.   So, anytime they want to come over for dinner, come

on over!!!  Tuesday is best, it's 2-1 day at dominos pizza!!!  Extra

pepperoni-- good thing she's not a vegan anymore!!! hehehe!!!





   Okay, back to reality, I emailed metrocomix about Clare's signing

and their exact reply was "I am waiting for her rep to get back to

me. We are contracted to complete by the end of the month and will

ship immediately."  So I hope Clare's rep is in contact with her

about this!!! She's a very busy lady and this weekend she'll be in

Pittsburgh and then back to Europe!!! By the way this empty poster

frame I have here is getting very lonely!!!

Clare in Vegas - Clare's Bloody Steak & Our Gen.  Grant Gray



Yeah, we had quite a discussion about her eating habits.

She's gone 180 from her vegan days. She eats her filet

mignon almost raw. Blood oozing all out.



She meticulously cuts it completely into small squares

and then starts eating.



We all commented about the right way and the wrong way. We tend to

cut steaks into bite-sized pieces up to half-way, then start eating.



We don't eat bloody meat and told her & Camden (who got salmon, but

asked for a couple of pieces of Clare's bloody steak to try it)

about the General Grant steak story.



It seems that eating bloody rare steaks was the way to go during

the Civil War for the Union generals.



Except for General Grant.



The other generals made fun of the fact that he had his

steaks cooked until they were Confederate gray.



Or General Grant gray.

So from then on Clare called our meat General Grant gray.



As we pointed out, Grant went on to win the Civil war

and then was elected to President twice. Maybe he had

the right idea...?

Clare in Vegas - Clare's Bold Use of the Internet



FOOD



Clare brought it up as she was cutting up her steak.

That led to all the other stuff about food and her curious

former eating habits...etc.



Clare is a very open person.



She knows that we'll be putting up our version of what she said.

But that it'll never be negative, but either neutral, and often

funny, but positive.



We were talking about how IMDB.COM was updated with the engagement

info  (we had a similar converstion later with Brian) and noted that

the info had to come from their inner circle of those in on the

secret.



Clare said she didn't mind that the net made her privacy more

difficult these days. She just wanted it to be true.



CLARE'S BOLD USE OF THE INTERNET



Like we told LJ earlier, Clare has been probably the most open of

any celebrity in letting a web site put up rather intimate details

of her childhood and adulthood, not just her professional activities.



Even to the point of personally setting up our Columbus interview

with her Dad, where his personal reminiscees and satisfaction with

both his daughters blossoming careeers was open to the world.



She said her Dad had pulled up the interview and was pleased.

We'd also sent Clare a copy of the DVD of the video to give to her

Dad before she went home for Christmas.



Because the interview included a lot about Clare's Dad's hospice

volunteering activities, we all had a discussion about Clare having

followed the hospice-situated recent Terri Schiavo story. Camden

noted that he also had (or had had) a relative in hospice care.



We have yet to see any other comparable situation regarding celebrity

information being published so openly as with Clare and our

site/groups.



And, like we said after Columbus - there's more to come long-term.

Just be patient.



CLARE & BRIAN HOLIDAYS



-We have no information on this currently.



Beyond the Clare & Callie Christmas back home that Clare said they

always had done. Obviously this would not preclude Brian being there.



Or Callie bringing someone along. The Delaware, OH., home is a quite

large footprint 2+ story home -  seemingly like most of them in the

neighborhood, with a converted attic floor. That's the "+".



Though Clare did say they visited the Dallas area for his family's

events (weddings ?? - we don't remember). And stayed in their

Dallas area Cedar Creek Lake home.



We have a "chiggers & WalMart" Clare vignette related to this that

we'll put in the full vignettes on the site this weekend.



Hey, the informnation flow is progressing quite well - we thought.



Clare's happy.
