We just got back from Las Vegas and wanted to put something
up while we were working on the initial Jacks or Better
Shriners Hospital Charity poker event gallery & copious
more Clare vignettes.

Especially those from our 3 hour talk-a-thon dinner with
Clare and her friend, fellow guest, Camden Toy.

We won Clare in a Clare-suggested silent auction bidding for
dinner. The bidding for Clare went into 4 figures. Camden
was a bonus dinner guest who turned out to be full of information.
Including working recently with martial arts legend and actor
Cynthia Rothrock. Someone we've admired for years.

You had to be there to see Camden's reaction when Clare said that
her "Gravedancers" kiss with Dominic Purcell was her first
on-screen kiss...with a guy. She then had to explain about her
D.E.B.S. kisses with Alex Breckenridge.

(We later wondered if any of her make-out scene in 2001's "Rules of
Attraction" had any of the 5 minute kiss not cut. She talks about it
in her Q&A's, & how the cameras were turned off as a prank..and just
left Clare in the endless kiss).

It also took a bit for the promoters and organizers of the enjoyable
event, which they will repeat in 2006, to puzzle out the curious
relationship between Clare and our site/groups - because we were
so familiar with Clare. And vice versa. And quickly extended that to
include her fiancé.

1. Photos Story

We only shot a handful of Clare photos because Froggy was the
Jacks or Better official photographer. Only he was allowed to shoot
during the about 5 hours of elimination Texas Hold'Em poker rounds.
And the gaming official that wandered in several times said
absolutely no videotaping while any poker games were in progress.

As a result we're putting up our own photos first, then lots more
when the Jacks or Better photos CD arrive in a week or two from
Froggy.

Including Clare playing poker.

Clare ran all the players off her tables, including her fiancé,
and her poker 'arch-nemesis', Froggy. Then lost to the 'ruthless'
Danny Strong in a marathon dual that forced our dinner to start
later than planned.

We also have to sit on several of our own photos of Clare and her
fiancé (Brian Keathley). Including one of Clare kissing him on
the cheek. These were posed for us specifically.

Until we receive some e-mail images from them taken on the Nov
2004 Egyptian cruise swimsuit photoshoot for the June 2005 issue
of Porthole Cruise magazine. Clare earlier had said she had about
800 personal camera digital photos from the trip.

When they soon announce formally their engagement, we will be
sent images of them the day (apparently) he popped the question
and she accepted, while both were on the cruise.

Also you'll never see the ones that Brian took with one of our
cameras of us duplicating Clare's kiss, except on Clare's left
cheek. He insisted that Clare be kissed, not just normal arms-
-around-the-waist, cheek-to-cheek photos.

2. Clare & Brian

They've been in a serious relationship for 6 years.
No date has been set for the nuptials, but they will
formally announce their engagement soon.

And until IMDB linked their bios at some time before early March
2005 (as one of our members, Art, first found), they'd kept it
private. With Clare being photographed at events only with her
films' actors on some occasions - or alone. Something we'd
noticed from the beginning of our site in 2001 and commented on.

Brian is best described as a behind the scenes guy. A black-haired
burly Texas good-ol'-boy from the Dallas area that became a
producer in L.A. He went to Plano East H.S., north of Dallas
proper, he told us. We had a lot of conversations about Dallas-
area things since we're quite familiar with the area.

And at some point after Clare first appeared in L.A. for BIO in
1999, he met the future Glory. We still don't know that part of
their story...

They're very affectionate with one another.

If you like Clare, you'll immediately like Brian.
As with Clare, he's open and friendly. They make a
really cute couple. He's several inches taller than
Clare in her usual quite high heels.

They both said that the when they visited their Cedar Creek
Lake home, they wanted us to come have dinner with them at some
of their favorite Dallas area restaurants.

3. "Our Stuff"

Clare said that it was OK to label these "Ours" (hers & Brian's)

- Their Sherman Oaks (L.A.)home he moved them into while Clare was
6 weeks in Greensboro, NC shooting "The Gravedancers".
(She's the movie's heroine, she said).

- Their Cedar Creek Lake home east of Dallas that they visit
several times a year.

- Their private-parties-only club in L.A. named ELEMENT.
Clare said that she creates the club's party menus.
