Cincinnati's 48 Hour Film Winner Headed to Cannes
Represent Ohio! Help support local filmmakers in attending the Cannes
Film Festival!

Held In Sway, winner of the 2007 Cincinnati 48 Hour Film Project has
been selected to screen at The 2008 Cannes Film Festival. The
Festival de Cannes is regarded as one the most prestigious,
influential and exciting motion picture events in the world. This
year's festival will take place May 14th – 25th in the French
Riviera. 35,000 film professionals are expected to attend.

Mirepoix Pictures, a team comprised of Cincinnati residents Amy
Cunningham, Mike Dittiacur, Russ Faust and John Mays, created "Held In
Sway." The competition requires the short film be made from concept
to completion in 48 hours. Approximately 2,200 films in 60 cities
worldwide were completed for this year's contest. The top 12 films
will screen at Cannes.

Held In Sway won Best Directing, Cinematography, Musical Score and
Best Film 2007 in Cincinnati. The film can be viewed online at
YouTube.com and soon at www.mirepoixpix.com <http://www.mirepoixpix.com> .

"As independent filmmakers, this is a dream come true and an
once-in-a-lifetime honor! We know that it would be a great mistake to
miss this important event - both to represent our work and our local
filmmaking community." says director Russ Faust.

The filmmakers are organizing two benefit events to raise the money to
travel to France and attend the festival. The first mixer is at the
Trolley Stop Bar in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday April 27, 2008 from 7-11pm.

Jasper's Restaurant and Nightclub in Cincinnati's Mt. Lookout Square
will host the event on the following Sunday, May 4 2008 from 7-11pm.

A small cover of $20.00 will include food; drink tickets,
entertainment, a raffle and screenings of the film. There will be a
reduced rate with a student ID. They hope all will attend to celebrate
among Cincinnati's extremely talented film community!

If those dates are inconvenient for attendance, one can also support
this endeavor by contributing a tax-deductible donation through:
