All that is good in Narnia has gone into hiding. Evil seeks to destroy
what good remains. All that stands in the way is one person.
His name is Caspian.
He is boy with a man's responsibility, for on his shoulders rests the
future of Narnia. His task is to restore Narnia to what it once was.
To be successful, he cannot fight alone.
You believed then... Caspian needs you to believe now.
The battle is joined on May 16th. Here you will find supplies,
reinforcements, weapons, ideas, and instructions that will help you to
maximize your opportunity.
Train Station/Ruins
The kids discover that they're in their castle, but that 1300 years
have elapsed in Narnia since their last visit.
Time. Everyone has to deal with time. It's a river, continually
flowing in one direction. We cannot stop it, and we cannot control it.
We cannot reverse, nor can we speed it up. Every being on this planet
is subject to its relentless flow.
In contrast, God exists outside of time. He surrounds time and gives
eternal significance to Buzz Lightyear's signature phrase, "To
infinity and beyond!" A good way to illustrate this is to take a six
inch ruler and cup it tightly in both hands. Imagine that the points
marked along the ruler are calendar dates past and future. Because you
hold the ruler in the palms of your hands, you surround all the points
on the ruler. You are present everywhere on the ruler, just as God
surrounds, experiences, and is present at all points in our time line.
This is a fun concept to think about. Imagine: Right now God is seeing
Jesus hanging on the cross for us and He is watching us as we explore
our future heavenly home!
Some students may struggle to stretch their minds past the human
concepts of time. Here are some Bible verses that might help. In these
Scriptures they will discover:
2 Peter 3:8 – God is not limited to our concept of time. Days, hours
and years have no real significance for Him.
John 8:56-59 – Jesus Himself exists outside the realm of time. He was
born in a manger and yet was in existence before all time.
Jeremiah 1:5 – God knows each of us intimately even before our birth.
Divine action in our lives takes place outside of the timeline and
before our coming into being.
Ephesians 2:4-6 – Physical death releases us from the timeline—yet,
because God surrounds time and eternity, it is possible for us to be
"seated at His right hand" and enjoying God's presence even before we
can experience it ourselves. This concept is really tough to imagine.

I imagine a lot of fans of Narnia are fans of Middle Earth because of
the similarity of writing styles and the good friendship of the
authors, so I thought I would pass it along!
I'm waiting for the 2nd movie eagerly!
Kathryn
Thanks for letting us know! I have really been out of the loop getting

Director: Andrew Adamson
Producers: Andrew Adamson, Mark Johnson, Philip Steuer
News at Feb 2006:
The Next "Narnia" Film Begins Taking Shape
It comes as no surprise that Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media
are in pre-production on "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,"
the second film of the "Narnia" series. With "The Chronicles of
Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" taking in an amazing
$65 million during just its opening weekend and $637.8 million
worldwide to date (just wait until it comes out on DVD, sales should
be astronomical), it's a wonder the announcement of work on the
second movie took two months to come out.
Fans of the first "Narnia" movie should be happy to note that most of
the cast and crew from "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" will
reunite for "Prince Caspian." Andrew Adamson will return as director
and co-writer (with Christopher Markus and Steve McFeeley). Disney
expects filming of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" to
begin in late 2006 with the studio eyeing a Christmas 2007 release
date.
In a statement issued by Walt Disney Pictures, studio chairman Dick
Cook said, "We're thrilled to be working with such a great director
as Andrew, and our friends at Walden Media, in bringing the next
chapter of the 'Narnia' chronicles to the big screen. Moviegoers
around the world were unanimous in their love and enthusiasm for 'The
Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe,' and 'Prince Caspian' offers lots
of new thrills and adventures in this magical land. The C. S. Lewis
books are a rich source of inspiration for great storytelling, and
this book spotlights some wonderful new heroes, and villains, along
with many of the characters we came to love so much in the first
film."
Director Adamson was quoted as saying, "Making 'The Lion, The Witch
and The Wardrobe' couldn't have been a more rewarding experience, not
just in terms of creative achievement and audience response, but also
because of the family we formed during production. 'Prince Caspian'
not only gives me an opportunity to challenge my imagination with
another classic story, it also allows me to work alongside the many
talented artists who contributed to the first film, and of course to
collaborate again with 'The Pevensies,' Georgie, Skandar, Anna, and
William."
The Official "Prince Caspian" Synopsis
"Prince Caspian" finds the Pevensie siblings pulled back into the
land of Narnia, where a thousand years have passed since they left.
The children are once again enlisted to join the colorful creatures
of Narnia in combating an evil villain who prevents the rightful
Prince from ruling the land. "Prince Caspian" was first published in
1951, and is the second book in the seven-book series written by
Lewis. It was intended as a continuation of "The Lion, The Witch and
The Wardrobe." Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia" have sold over 100
million copies worldwide, and continues to be one of the best loved
and most popular series of all time.

David Murray, a former Disney animation artist, and award winning story writer,
whose
screen credits include Mulan, Tarzan, Lilo and Stitch, and Brother Bear, has
published his
new fantasy adventure novel, "Majesty, the Sorcerer and the Saint", released
December,
2005. It is written for ages 10 through adult.
Murray writes about sorcery from a Christian perspective. I am reading the first
book now
and so far it is pretty good and compares favorably to Narnia although the
Christian theme
is more overt than in Narnia.

Its perfect timing because I just finished a great novel entitled Imperial
Legions ( Andrew
M. Seddon) about a Roman officer who is stationed in Britain during some
turbulent times
there. He had become a believer of 'The Way' and was being challenged in his
beliefs at
his new post. It was quite good and very 'Celtic'...

have to look

Yo - The retired "2nd Chapter of Acts" did an album called "The Roar
of Love", based on the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, sometime back
in the '80s or so. Not my favorite 2nd Chapter of Acts album, but who
can resist their harmonies.....(or Annie Herring's piano playing)...
I have been reading the "Legends of the Guardian Kings" epic series by Karen
Hancock,
and thoroughly enjoying it. I decided I should recommend it to all of you as I
believe
anyone who loves Narnia or Middle Earth will love Kiriath.
