I was watching for the train between 1:50 pm and 2:15 pm on feb. 14,
wednesday as discussed at our pre-production meeting.
No Train, I repeat, No train.
ttfn.
Wes.
Greetings all!
So here's the latest scoop:
* I have a meeting with Sunrise Bagels (for bagels and coffee),
Lulu's Bagels (for the same thing), and Fred Meyer (for coffee and
flasks) today. I will speak with a manager, present them with the
formal letter and negotiate some deal with them; then I will post
the results of that meeting
* the pictures of the several "Fairbanks - esque" places will be
uploaded tonight
* there's a very good chance that I would be able to get hold of
fax/copier/printer from my father's office or even my own house (we
have two of them, I believe)
* the only times I am definitely not available (due to classes) are:
Mondays, 2:15 pm - 5:15 pm; Tuesdays, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm; and
Wednesday, 6:00 - 9:00 pm. I also work full time at a hair salon,
but I forewarned my boss that I might have to take two or three
weeks off so I can devote much of my time to filming
* as for a time we can meet, anytime on friday would work well with
me; i'm pretty flexible
* finally, like erik, I would really like to and would benefit from
being the producer's pa, for I also am working towards a career in
filmmaking (particularly producing and directing) and am currently
studying screenwriting in graduate school. But I know that you are
in dire need of pa's in every aspect of this project, so if you
would not be able to utilize me as a producer's p.a., I am
definitely excited about being a p.a. (or really doing anything) for
this project; I just want to get my feet wet in every aspect of this
film.
That's about it, for now. You'll hear from me tonight about more
updates! Toodles!
Chinonye Chukwu
I've got "train scouts" at UPark, a whole office of folks jotting down
when the train rolls by. Hopefuly that will get us rolling with
potential shooting times. I have letters for food donations if folks
want. I'd like the letter to be on letterhead, but I'll upload a copy
of the food letter to the files, and you can print it out if nothing
else.
Best,
maya

Hey Erik,
Thanks for all the work you've been doing. As for
Eleanor's apartment, it's really just a drop off shot,
so what I wouldn't mind seeing in that area is
something that shows Fairbanks a little bit. (i.e.
possibly something in the downtown area, where we can
drop her off outside of an apartment that maybe has an
interesting shop or store next to it. Maybe Eleanor
lives upstairs, or next door to some Mom and Pop shop
that would like to have a shot of their business in
the film).
Let's see as much of Fairbanks as we can! Especially
some things that you guys have determined are unique
to Fairbanks and Alaska in general.
Look forward to seeing you all soon,
Tom & Lauri

Hi Everyone,
I was eating at Sourdough Sam's today at 11:00 and the train went by.
Now, I'm working on securing donated fruit from Fred Meyer, and

Good Hunting,

Thursday would be fine for me. I have class from 6:00 - 9:00, but am free for the other 21 hours. My dream job would be the Producer's P.A. As an aspiring director, I think I would benefit the most from this position, but I am flexible to your needs. Also, I am able to get out of attending my class on Monday (6:30 - 9:30) if need be, so my only potential conflicts come between 6:00 and 9:00 on Wednesday and Thursday.
Could you please give me a short description of what your vision for Eleanor's apartment is? I am making a spreadsheet detailing all of the locations and their associated contacts.
Maya, is using the fax machine/ copier in the Theatre UAF Office possible?
Looking Forward to Your Arrival,
Erik

Hey all!
Uploaded a file for a local SAG actor, Carrie Baker. Her headshot and
resume are in the file.
When do you want to do an Alaskan Casting call? The theatre here is
booked on Sat. Feb 24 FYI.
Let us know what roles you're looking for still, and extras for which
scenes.
Thanks,
Maya
We got permission to shoot there !!! YEAH!! The U of F letter played
a big factor so thank you!

Excellent!
If we can all start to communicate through the yahoo group it will save
time in repeating info for those down the line. Just send an email to
ChronicTown@yahoogroups.com and everyone will get it.
Invite others by having them sign on at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChronicTown
They can just join the group. I need to approve folks, only so spammers don't
join and mess the whole thing up.
We shouldn't have a problem getting Dad's cabin, and we'll look into the
painting. Evan Harris is on both of those locations so I'll leave that to him!
We'll keep looking for BlowJob's cabin too.
We still have questions about a couple of things:
1) How many folks will the catering be for a day? When looking for donations of
bagels etc, how many are we trying to feed?
2) Will extra people be covered by your insurance if they are not part of the
internship at the University? I have some students that want to help out, but
can't formally register for the class. I want to make sure that won't be a
problem when it comes to being on set.
3) You guys are handeling the train, yes?!
Thanks!
