Christian Byers stars in the film,December Boys with Daniel Radcliffe and Opal Dreams as a young boy Ashmol Williamson and brother of Kellyanne , a young girl, whose unshakable faith in her two imaginary friends has profound implications for the residents of her small hometown in the Australian Outback.

Jacqueline McKenzie , Sapphire Boyce , and Vince Colosimo ,Christian Byers also star in the BBC Films, UK Film Council and South Australian Film Corp co-production.

Cattaneo adapted the screenplay from Ben Rice’s novella Pobby Dingan with Rice and Phil Traill.

Jeremy Kay for Screen Daily: Focus Features has picked up North American rights to Peter Cattaneo’s Opal Dreams and plans a 2006 release for the family picture, which was previously known as Pobby And Dingan.

It will have its world premiere in the Dinard Festival Of British Film from Oct 6-9.
