CAPTIVE HEARTS
Starring: Greg Evigan, Robin Givens, Tracey Gold, Chris Kramer, Tobias Mehler
A newly hired executive for a multinational corporation, Larry Sorenson
(Tobias Mehler) is kidnapped at gunpoint. The hostage takers send video
demands directly to Larry's wife, Elizabeth (Tracey Gold) demanding the
multinational halt all financial dealings with Europe. If their demands are
not met in 12 hours, Larry will be executed and other executives and
stockholders will follow. This sends the company's stock into a freefall.
Seattle PD Detective, Jimmy Kelsoe (Chris Kramer) has his suspicions. It's
all too neat. Working closely with FBI Agent Jade Marlo (Robin Givens) the
two soon discover that the whole kidnapping is an elaborate plot to
manipulate stock prices for a mafia takeover. As the pieces of the puzzle
fall into place, Detective Kelsoe and Elizabeth join forces. But Elizabeth
soon realizes she has far more in common with Detective Kelsoe than with her
missing husband Larry. Kelsoe too, realizes his feelings toward Elizabeth
have grown beyond professional. With time running out, both Kelsoe and
Elizabeth must struggle to put their feelings for each other aside in order
to save Larry's life.

It was a lot of fun. Talked to Chris for a bit between filming. Saw him again on Sunday and sat with him and his friend at the autograph table. He's as charming as ever.

Yeah, Ellen Dubin, his co-star for that ep (and for The Collector), told me
with only six hours notice that her and Chris's DZ ep was about to air in the
states, so I didn't get a chance to spread the word across the Net. I'm in
Canada so I'll have to wait a few more months for it to air, on SPACE: The
Imagination Station. I know Chris has wrapped production on a few TV movies
which will air in the states shortly.
Apparently, Chris and the rest of the Collector gang had a fab time at
GateCon. Wish I coulda been there -- but at least I'm fortunate enough to be
able to call or email them any time I'd like. Chris's boss, Collector
showrunner Jon Cooksey, is an absolute doll. I think of him as my adopted
uncle. He's been helping me prepare and pitch a TV series I hope will co-star
Chris in a recurring role. I have a very important meeting with Jay Firestone
(Relic Hunter, Mutant X, Andromeda, La Femme Nikita) coming up in a few weeks
to pitch the show, so I'm keepong my fingers crossed for myself, Chris, Ellen
(who will also star) and everyone else who wants to be involved with the
project.

I've just added a picture to the list under members. I was one of the
7 who visited the Collector set last week. It was a nice small group
and we were there for about 2hrs or so.

I don't arrive in Vancouver until next Friday (July 22nd), do you think
that tv guide will still be on sale? I'd love to get a copy of it and
get Chris to autograph it (then I'll send it to you).
KELLY REPLIES:
The TV Guide for the upcoming week is usually put on the shelves the Thursday
beforehand, so you probably won't be able to find the issue with Chris and I
still available on Friday. I don't need/want his autograph for myself anyway.
Autographs mean absolutely nothing to me -- unless they're on a cheque! :-)
BUT, if you'd like to have Chris autograph a copy of the mag for you,
yourself, I think I might be able to arranage something with him. I could buy
a copy today and mail it to the production office in Vancouver (ATTN: Chris
Kramer). I'll let him know to expect it in the mail within the next 2 weeks
and then have him sign it and give it to you at GateCon. If you miss him
there, he could just mail it righ back to me or to your home in Australia.
Just let me know what you'd like to do ASAP, OK, sweetie?

Hey, CK fans,
An email I sent to Canadian TV Guide in response to their 'Question of the
Week' has been printed in the July 16-22 issue, which will be on newstands
later this week. Below is a copy of the letter:
HOTTEST OF THE HOT
If I could spend just one hour with any TV star, I'd have to pick Chris
Kramer of The Collector. Not only is this talented Canadian actor incredibly
good-looking (have you seen those abs?), but he's also a devoted Catholic and
a very sweet, charming man who always minds his manners -- in public anyway.
Every girl's dream boyfriend. Sigh!

Welcome to everyone who has joined this Chris Kramer Yahoo Fan Club

Chris's fans come together to support him and his work.
I'll try to supply you all with as much CK news as I can over the next
few months (years?) with what few resources I have at my disposal. For
those who would like more info on Chris, I've just updated his bio on

around on their website to see who else was on there and I saw Chris.

I think I remember seeing them. I saw Larry Sugar and was wondering
if it was him and then I saw Colin go over and give him a hug, so I
guess it was him.
I got my photo taken with Benjamin Ratner who played Steve in THE
COMIC. And I got a photo with Sonya Salomaa who plays Maya Kandinski.
I was such a fan girl :) I'm still sad that we missed meeting Chris.
I'll just have to wait until Gatecon next month :)

They have an adorable (and whip-smart) daughter named Mariel, who should be
about 10 or 11, now. I look forward to the day when I can sit down to supper
with the Cooksey/Matheson family and discuss life and showbiz.

I was so looking forward to meeting Chris. Although I feel that I
probably wouldn't have been able to put two words together when I saw
him. I would have had to have gotten Colin to introduce us.
That's great news that Chris is working on a new movie. Thank you for
passing on the update (I'll add it to the news section on the front
page).
> Too bad Chris didn't win a Leo. Maybe next year, eh?
He soooo deserved that Leo Award. The Collector is my favourite show
and it's all because of Chris.
I think that Jon Cooksey and Ali Matheson were in the audience on
Friday night because when someone won an award for The Collector they
would thank Jon and Ali and look into the audience. But because I have
no idea what they look like, it made it hard to go find them after the
award ceremony and thank them for such an awesome show.
