Cate Blanchett will play Beatrix Potter in Miss Potter, which will be
directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Evelyn). The
autobiographical tale follows the rise of the writer and creator of
legendary characters such as Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck,
Screen Daily reports. Blanchett will be seen later this year in
Veronica Guerin, about the murdered Irish crime reporter, and The
Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. She is currently filming
The Missing, a Western that co-stars Tommy Lee Jones and is being
directed by Ron Howard.
