Carole Landis was a very popular actress and pin-up during the 1940s. She was nicknamed "The Ping Girl". Carole appeared in more than forty movies including One Million B.C., A Scandal In Paris, Turnabout, My Gal Sal, Having Wonderful Crime, and Moon Over Miami. She worked with stars like Betty Grable, Jack Benny, Rita Hayworth, Cesar Romero, Kay Francis, Victor Mature, and Joan Blondell. During World War 2 Carole spent more time visiting troops than any other actress. She wrote the book Four Jills In A Jeep and starred on Broadway. Carole was married four times and had romantic relationships with choreographer Busby Berkeley, Franchot Tone, George Montgomery, Charlie Chaplin, and author Jacqueline Susann. Tragically Carole took her own life in 1948 at the age of twenty-nine.
