Carole Landis was a successful actress and a popular pin-up during the 1940's. She was nicknamed "The Ping Girl" and "The Blonde Bomber". Carole appeared in more than fifty movies including One Million B.C., A Scandal In Paris, Turnabout, My Gal Sal, Having Wonderful Crime, and Moon Over Miami. She worked with legendary stars like Betty Grable, Jack Benny, Rita Hayworth, Cesar Romero, Kay Francis, Victor Mature, and Joan Blondell. During World War 2 Carole spent more time visiting troops than any other actress. She wrote the book Four Jills In A Jeep and starred on Broadway. Carole was married four times and had romantic relationships with choreographer Busby Berkeley, Franchot Tone, George Montgomery, Charlie Chaplin, and author Jacqueline Susann. Tragically in 1948 Carole took her own at the young age of twenty-nine.
