Carmen trained for the stage at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He has studied with Stanford Meisner, Lee Grant, Milton Katselas, and Lee Strasberg. Carmen is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and was awarded the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award for his performance as Jack Delasante in Thomas Babe's A Prayer for my Daughter. Argenziano's Los Angeles theater credits include A View from the Bridge (Strasberg Institute); Palladium is Moving (Court Theatre); El Salvador (Tiffany); and the West Coast premiere of Julian Barry's Last Lucid Moment directed by Jon Voigt. He has appeared in more than 50 films, including The Accused; Stand and Deliver; Don Juan DeMarco; Gone in 60 Seconds; and Identity. He has appeared in more than 100 television movies and episodic dramas. Carmen had a long term recurring role on Stargate SGI as Major General Jacob Carter /Selmak until they killed his characters off ~ just because TPTB could.
