Warm greetings from Cinemanila.

We are sorry to inform you that the festival dates of Cinemanila will
be moved from August 8-21 to October 15-29, 2008. This was unanimously
agreed during the July 8 meeting with the Board of Directors of the
Cinemanila International Film Festival Foundation.

Several factors like weather conditions, conflicting dates with other
festivals, availability of guests and jurors, etc. were taken into
consideration before arriving at this painful yet necessary decision
to postpone the festival. This is to allow for a bigger and better
10th anniversary presentation.

The first batch of official entries will be announced on August 21
while new entries will be accepted until September 8.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Nevertheless, we assure you that the decision was made with the
intention of organizing a more memorable 10th edition of the
Cinemanila International Film Festival.
