The BUCKYSTEIN trailer will surpass 1000 hits this week on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLF67MI7VQc !!!! New plans call for BUCKYSTEIN to be broken down into 5 to 7 chapters and placed on youtube in the coming months! also I have given the green light for WYOU to put BUCKYSTEIN on TV. I'll give you a heads up as soon as date are set.
In other news BUCKYSTEIN was well received at Odyssey Con last Friday with Colin Cameron showing his great new film SUPER SENIOR about a deranged professor feeding scary noodles to collage students! Watch out!!!!

Well, we may have been over looked at Wisconsin Fest, but Odyssey Con has come through with a showing of BUCKYSTEIN that same weekend at 10:30pm on Friday the 13Th of April! You can visit their website here http://www.oddcon.com/index.php (You might have to paste this in your browser). OH-YA!
The bad news is, if all you want to do is see BUCKYSTEIN, it will cost you $25 Day/$40 Weekend. This is because we are part of an ultra high quality group of Sci-Fi conventioneers that are paying big bucks to see some giants in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Comic World (& our movie!!!!). We are just one cog on a giant wheel and I can't change the system ( I tried--picture Charlton Heston at the end of Planet of the Apes).
The great news is that we made the cut to be included in this exclusive group
(Thank you, Richard Russell for your help in getting this wonderful invitation). and if you come for the day or the weekend you'll get to see some of the movers & shakers of the industry! (If you are part of the production of BUCKYSTEIN or WYOU start perfecting your "moves & shakes" now--people are watching!).
That is awesome. Hey this is Scott AKA Rex. I just wanted to let you know Geoff that I am still interested in being part of your new movie. Sorry I have not been in touch alot of stuff going on. Just let me know about it!

This is great Geoff! I definitely will be going to the Odyssey Con to check it out!
I've been enjoying all of the comments from people regarding not getting into the WI film fest. What's up with that decision? Buckystein is totally Film Fest material. I mirror your Dad's sentiment from my favorite movie of the year "The Departed". What the F*#k!?!

I am relieved that the T-shirts have been well received. I also have been trying
to think of
modifying a few with claw rips in the back to give the impression that the
person wearing it
escaped the attack of Buckystein. I have to say that the Loafers did an
excellent job on the
music. Will a CD be available with the title tune on it along with other songs?
Spring will be
approaching, and it would be nice to have the windows down cruising around town
with the
song playing full blast.

P.S. My eyes finally grew back.
I love that quote, and I love your taste in movies. If we continue working together, we will kick all the cridic's asses.

Dear Geoffrey:
Thank you for your submission of Buckystein to the 2007 Wisconsin Film Festival Wisconsin's Own film competition.
A record number of Wisconsin films were submitted this year. All entries were reviewed, and the selection committee and jury have made their final decisions on films to be shown at the Festival.
Buckystein was not selected for the 2007 Wisconsin Film Festival program.
Thank you very much for choosing to be a part of the festival by sharing your work with us. I hope you'll consider doing so again with future films.
A copy of this letter has also been sent via p your address. If a return envelope was provided, your submission materials will be returned. If not, they will be kept on file in the Festival offices.
Good luck with your film projects, and I hope to see you at the Wisconsin Film Festival this year.
All the best,
Meg Hamel Director, Wisconsin Film Festival www.wifilmfest.org (877) 963-FILM
Maybe Buckystein needs to make an appearance at the Wisconsin FIlm Festival.... in character. Tear off a few heads, toss some innocent bystanders around, gouge some eyes out, etc. They say there's no such thing as bad press! They'll think twice before sending some lame rejection email when they know public safety is at risk.
just a thought,
Les

The BUCKYSTEIN Bumper Sticker is here! It is long and thin (And Black and white) and says, "I Survived BUCKYSTEIN!" and then in small letters it says, "The most Horrifying movie ever made!" There are 3 ways to get one. The first is to buy or rent BUCKYSTEIN from FOUR STAR, BONGO, WYOU, New Mega, or Me. The second is to run into me.
Or the third is to send me a SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope) to Geoff Lafayette, 450 Marston Ave. Madison, WI 53703. One dollar in the envelope per sticker would be nice to cover the cost of printing. A Business size (the larger of the two regular sizes) envelope means it won't be folded, but I don't think a fold would hurt any thing.
Nate, great to hear from you! The auditions for BONES SKELETON have not happened yet. Pressing the link at the bottom of this website and joining the BONES SKELETON yahoo group is the surest way to stay up to date.
Also if your contact info has changed at all from a couple of years ago, please mail me directly at GeoffBatman@....

Not much time today (It's my birthday #46!), so I'm writing both my favorite groups at once and will say sorry up front, to those of you who get this twice!
WYOU is having an open house tomorrow (Feb. 3rd) from 3 to 7pm. They are located at 609 E. Washington Ave. here in beautiful Madison, WI. Go in and thank
them for all their help on BUCKYSTEIN. Also let them show you the Blue screen, that is going to give BONES SKELETON unbelievable special effects (The ability to mix special effects miniatures and live action actors in the same shot!).
BONES SKELETON & THE TOILET OF TERROR! is moving at light-speed lately. Both BloodShot Productions, Inc. and WYOU are on board for this feature length Sci-Fi extravaganza! Linda Friend who works all over the Madison Video Scene (Wis. Pub. TV, WYOU, Edgewood, to name some) has taken a large interest and is gathering footage for a documentary on the making of. Meany of you met her at the reading.
Linda introduced me to the video artists, Roger Bindl and Jackelyn Schultz Binhttp://www.hem.com/movies/rfb_promo1m.htmdle. Not only are they highly creative people, but they are strong in the areas of Video and
audio quality, securing legal rights and distribution.
They also talked me into attending the local Wisc-Kino showing (last Sunday) where I met a lot of up and coming movie makers. Too many, to name really. Though, I am really interested and getting Emilio Tozzi on board to do some stop motion for us. He did an Alien encounter movie that is one of the funniest things I have ever scene.
I'll tell you about the other people I met next week. Also I am working hard on the shooting schedule. Hope to see you at WYOU!

The Buckystein Trailer is now on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLF67MI7VQc. Please take the time to watch and to rate our favorite movie. Right now our ratings are down because someone (Yes, most likely a UM student) gave us zero stars! Help! Let's get it back up to at least 4 this weekend. Also say nice things about it!
BUCKYSTEIN is selling well on the Internet and at WYOU. Bongo and Four Star are also reordering. And especially cast members buying for the Holiday! Please, let me know if you want to exercise your "Hollywood Insider" discount on the movie! I would estimate of the 1,000 original copies we are down to 500. GeoffBatman@....
This month I am currently putting the finishing touches on the
Bones Skeleton script. Log on to that yahoo group if you want to help. (Link at bottom).
What a month, In the last 30 days, I gave a talk on directing at the Mount Horeb Library, Went to the "It Came From Beneath Lake Michigan" Film Festival, Sold BUCKYSTEIN DVD's on EBay, Saw BUCKYSTEIN on the big screen at the Orphium, Out the BUCKYSTEIN TRAILER on UTUBE,and entered our favorite Horror movie to the Wisconsin Film Festival. And finished the 2ND draft of our new movie.
The talk at Mt. Horeb was fun because of the unique low budget proses we went through to achieve the horrific (In a good way) results we call BUCKYSTEIN.
Sam "Towel Boy" Bush went with me to Racine, for the, "It Came From Beneath Lake Michigan." We rented a table and sold some videos. We even met fans! Yes we have fans! I also got to see what other movie pioneers are making. BUCKYSTEIN has a lot to be proud of.
EBay has been an on and off proposition. I've sold about 15 copies so far. One even went to Amsterdam!
Seeing BUCKYSTEIN at the Orphium was also a wonderful experience. BloodShot had a nice presents there what with Nocturna there and Sam dresses as a ghoul! I gave blood. What I do for my art!
Oh, and go to Utube and vote for the BUCKYSTEIN TRAILER! In fact have everyone you know do it!
And we are entered into the Wisconsin Film Festival! Pray we make it
And lastly, BONES SKELETON AND THE TOILET OF TERROR! our next movie is moving forward, IF YOU HAVE NOT JOINED THE BONES SKELETON WEB SIGHT DO IT NOW! THE LINK IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE! With the second draft done we move even closer to production. I always feel bad when I run into people and
they say, "Why didn't you tell me?" And all I can say is I'm sorry, I did my best.
Email me at GeoffBatman@..., if you need help joining this site.
