NES screenplay. I can't give you a direct link, but try this.
Search in Google for "Neverending". Early in the sites listed
(about #20 or so) is a German fan-site with a URL
starting "obelix.maschinenbau......". That's the one you want.

I find the site hard to navigate. Best thing is find the screenplay
(under 'Story', I think) in German - it's spread over 14 pages. On
each page, if you scroll to the bottom, you can get it translated
into English. Actually, of course, the English is the original
script (very accurately done here) which they've put into German.
It's a bit laborious, translating page by page like this, but I find
that if I ask for the whole site in English, I get 'Page
Unavailable' for the screenplay.

Reading through the text - which includes actions & directions - is
rather like watching the movie. You can hear how the lines were
said, and it reveals some of the artistry when you see what they had
to work with.
