Hello everybody!
I'm glad to see some interest has been sparked recently. Let's
try to keep the fire lit for a little while. First, it's interesting
that Mr. Gunn lives in CT, because I've lived in CT all my life, and
I never knew that. Pretty cool. Anyway, I have noticed a few things
that tie all of his films together, like him almost always having a
hooded-sweatshirt on, and that most of his films are sci-fi/fantasy.
Even the TV shows he appeared on, except for the rare "The Circle
Family." About a year ago, a went on a binge and found everything he
was in except for "love, sydney;" a show that was on ABC for a little
while early 80's. Has anyone else seen the Shelly Duvall 'theater'
thing he was in? "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" I think. He had a small
part, but it was nice. The episode of "Hooperman" with John Ritter
was the odd one of the bunch, being a more dramatic, almost daytime
soap-opera like role. And the Wes Craven film "Invitation to Hell"
was quite mundane, but at least he had a bigger role, alongside the
girl who played "Pippy Longstocking." I thought the introduction
music was the best part. Feedback?
