O.K.: you agree that baldness is genetic. Why, then, do you label my
post as being "pretentious"? Every child gets roughly half of each
parents genes. We do know that the father has a male pattern balding at
a fairly young age gene (or whatever the scientists have named it). We
do not know whether the mother also has that gene; hence my estimate of
a 52% probability of Barret having the male pattern baldness at a fairly
young age gene. This is called a logical prediction:
