Dear Movie Buddies,
We still don't have my wife's job situation figured out.  Things look
good as far as job prospects and we should be out of this predicament
soon.
Our problem now is I don't have a enough time to shoot this all this
year.  One of the things I learned from BUCKYSTEIN is January to May is
the best time to shoot.  Everyone seems to have a lot going on in the
summer and the fall.
   I have been talking to Sam and Darrin of BloodShot Productions, Inc.
to take on the two lead roles (Bones & Alby) in this picture.  They
both have bucket loads of talent and their comic timing from years in
the Haunted House business is superb.
   There are multiple scenes with only these two characters, most taking
place inside the submarine.  I would love to get those scenes shot this
spring.  The rest would start again January 2009.
   I know it might sound a lot like, "This will never happen!"  But they
said, We couldn't make a Movie with a $600 camera and no money.  They
said it could never make the big screen or rent in video stores and we
flew by the seat of our pants and did it anyway!  AND I'M DOING IT
AGAIN!

TERROR) Fans:
THE GREAT NEWS:
I have reserved rehearsal space at the Wil-mar Center and things are
moving forward on the major set piece of the movie, the interior of
the WAL-I. The WAL-I is a top-secret submarine, used by the Zombie
Bones Skeleton, his best friend, and a dog to fight evil Space
Aliens in the sewer.

THE NOT SO GREAT NEWS:
I had hoped to start filming our newest film next month, but my
wife's unexpected layoff has meant I have to postpone the start date
at least a month. Offers for interviews are rolling in the door so
I see this situation as being short lived.

Well as many of you have been asking, "When is the movie getting started?"  Well I'll have exact dates next week.......... But, here is a small peak of how it is going to work.

 

Here is the plan:

I will be stepping aside as Director of the BONES SKELETON PROJECT and just be the Producer or The Supreme Allied Commander.

 

Tryouts will be in early January of 2008, with the first rehearsal with the full cast on the last Saturday of January.  Shooting Dates will be the last weekends of February, March, April and May with make up shots the last weekend of June.  Rehearsals will very with only the people in that months shoot at rehearsals (Usually 3 rehearsals).  So, most people will show up for 3 rehearsals and a couple of hours on the shoot weekend.

 

We will be shooting at twice the speed of BUCKYSTEIN.  I know this sounds impossible, but here is the plan:  We will have multiple Directors and Cinematographers.  Each Director will pre-scout the location and will never shoot two scenes back to back (Unless they're shooting at the same location).  They will have two hours to shoot there scene but they'll have time to set up and completely plan the shoot before the actors arrive.  It's a race against time!

 

Everyone will be asked to do some behind the scenes work.

 

My job will be to set this things up like dominoes and make sure the Characters stay

consistent.

   as you may have heard (janet) I've cleaned up an extra large
fishtank that's 5'x2'x1'
     found it near the station
     so
     thus far, I've just been playing with florescent dye
     (lit by a bed of 5 5-foot-long blacklight tubes)
     really bright, really cool - so I'm sitting on hours of this
stuff already

     you gotta see - the idea now (for your deal - though the footage
I have would already be great for backgrounds, underwater fuel
leaks, etc.) is to sculpt some half tube passageways
- backgounds that we could put a model in front of - could cast
shadows, etc. (things that are hard to bluescreen)

      Thought the more toxic-looking stuff in the sewers, the better -
  as well as skeletons of enormous crocodiles and the like.

     I'll try to be paying attention to my email - put EFFECTS! or
WAKE UP ERIC! in the subject line.

Geoff! I love the crab claw! Awesome! Sorry I've been a bit slow
getting onto the bones skeleton group site, but now I'm here and I'm
so glad to see all of the postings from everyone including the cast of
Buckystein! I can't believe it's been over a year since the world
premiere of Buckystein. What a whirl-wind that was - now you're on to
your next project. Do you still need help building props? Keep us
posted! -Janet, your Buckystein editor.

Sounds great.I will start delving into my character study work this weekend and
go to Red Lobster.  I love method acting_HA HA.

I just signed on to the group. My name is Sandra Bonnici and as Geoff

WARNING THIS IS NOT PHOTO SHOP! So, the big news is the Giant crab claw is done! Jeff Schiffman and Scott Treinen stopped by last month to help me glue it up.  It's made of Styrofoam, wood and orange vinyl.  Hit the link to this group to see 3 photos of the Monster crab claw and me with my new glasses!  Thanks again Scott and Jeff!  More cool props coming soon!

 

We have not cast anything yet, this is for several reasons.  One, I'm still pushing BUCKYSTEIN (like re-editing for YouTube), and two, I feel the new movie is so big I really can't start it until all the props are done.

 

In other news, Sandra Bonnici, won a walk on part in our new movie during an East Side School Fundraiser here in Madison, welcome aboard Sandra!
