Scott, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner!  Hey, I have been fighting a layoff and I'm out of work...I'm finding work but it takes longer to line all this house repair work up and then do it.  I'm currently working on the sub set and hope to have pictures soon.  The movie is still on, just behind schedule.

There are some new pictures of the Mushroom Monster taken By Colin Cameron on our Yahoo group site.  And in other news I Directed the Colin Cameron's 5 Star Written&Produced Doritos Commercial--a Crunchy/snacky take off on "The Princess and the Pea" which can be seen at: http://www.crashthesuperbowl.com/#/gallery/video/1486/

Saturday was ZVA: ZOMBIE vs. ALIEN Shoot day!  The grave yard had
been built on a back lot of BloodShot Productions, Inc. in Portage,
WI.  Laura and Andy Braman-Wanek where going to play the grave
diggers Claire and Phil, but Laura got very sick on Thursday and had
to bow out.  With their show business ethic in hand, Andy and Laura
said, "The Show must go on, (Andy) will be there!" So, we were short
one actor!

Well, veteran BloodShot actor, Mike O'shaughnessy, was coming in from
Wausau and Claire became Clarence! So, the line up:

Sam Bush III (Towel Boy in Buckystein) As Bones Skeleton!
Andrew Braman-Wanek (Lead Gun Protester in Buck) As Phil!
Michael O'shaughnessy (Biker and old Man w/Walker) As Clarence!
Darrin Buchholtz (eye popping biker) Assistant Director!

Well (x 2), Andy and I drive up together from Madison and for the
first time I see the completed set.  I was blown away!  Not only were
there grave stones everywhere and a fog machine, but the over all
essince was truely frightening!  What a fantastic set!  Thank you,
BloodShot , once again, for making our quest for fame closer to
reality!

My only regret was that we didn't get many pictures to share this
moment with all of you. Collin Cameron did such a wonderful job on
the first shoot with the crab claw, that I hope ZVA fans are not to
disappointed.

Inside sources from WYOU have told me the station will remain for at least another year.  It will all depend on the fundraising for the next season.

Dear Movie fans,
WYOU which was one of the pivotal reasons BUCKYSTEIN got made and one of the things that helps make the Madison Community an artists paradise may be closing.  Stripped of it's ability to broadcast on a channel people can watch and now possibly gutted by the city budget they need our help.

ZVA: ZOMBIE Vs. ALIENS fans,
Yesterday was an open house at the Madison Sewer Treatment Plant!  And I got in and grabbed us a lot of behind the scenes footage!  I'll be asking in the future if we can film there, but if not...we can more easily fake it.
 
Laura and Andy Braman-Wanek have signed on to play the grave diggers in the opening scene where we meet the hero of our movie, Bones Skeleton played by Sam Bush III !  The scene will be shot in Portage Wisconsin at a haunted graveyard set built by BloodShot Productions, Inc.
 
Here is what is coming up.  Look at the dates and starting tomorrow I'll let you know what I
need for volunteers.

A mysterious benefactor has created 4 designs for the ZVA: ZOMBIE vs.
ALIENS mushroom monster!  Check them out in the photo section of our
yahoo group then go to the pole section (both on the list at the right
of the page, next to the great picture of Bosco and the crab claw).
Take the pole!
Also feel free to voice your opinion by posting and getting others to

Dear ZVA Crew, Cast & Movie fans!
Colin Cameron took the most wonderful photos last Friday night and
you can check them out at our yahoo group.  Just press the "visit my
group" button on this email.  Then press the "photo" button. Then
click on the "Colin Cameron's Crab Claw scene pictures."  While
you're there check out "Scott Treinen's Crab Claw Scene Pictures,"
also!

Thank you, Les Stephany for being my right-hand person.  You always
bring order to the chaos I create.
We had a huge outpouring of help from the East High Players thanks to
the efforts of Tony Weber, Grant Zoch, Siobhan Beau, and K. D. Reeve
passing the word.

And who can forget the help of the great outdoorsman Dominic DeSano
as the White Water canoe expert who fought the Yaharra River to get
the best action water shots!

Tony Weber has signed on as the special effects coordinator for the crab claw scene! But, I still need lots more help from 6:30 to 10pm ish this Saturday evening at Tenny Park.  I need help setting up lighting, moving the heavy crab claw, crowd control, Logging the shots, running the clapper.  Email me at GeoffBatman@... if you can help!

ZVA: ZOMBIE VS. ALIENS The Sci-Fi/Horror/Disaster Movie Begins! And What a beginning it was!  We had our first rehearsal, we shot our first video, and the bumper stickers are in.

I NEED HELP THIS SATURDAY NIGHT Aug. 16TH FROM 6:30pm to 11:00pm.  Contact me, Geoff Lafayette at GeoffBatman@... if you can help. No experience necessary.
We will be shooting in and around Tenny Park, Madison, WI.

  Our first rehearsal was on Saturday, late afternoon at my house near Tenny Park.  In this scene three sewer workers traversing the Madison sewers in a canoe are attacked by a giant crab who Gard's the entrance to the Hidden Space Alien City!  Sean Bode plays the gruff ex-special forces sanitation worker, "Stinky," and carries a harpoon gun.  Scott Treinen plays the Foreman of the expedition, "Bosco," and there is nothing in the sewers he can't fix.  Clarice Lafayette plays  Delila the "go to girl" who wants Boscos job!
   This rehearsal went so well with the help of Assistant Director Les Stephany, we decided to skip Wed rehearsal and meet early for Saturday's shoot-- 6:30pm.
 
SATURDAY NIGHT SHOOTING BEGAN!  After dinner Sean Bode and I decided to shoot the crab claw rising from the water at the Tenny Park Beach!  Its made of styro-foam to keep it light (it's still very heavy), but what I didn't realize is it is virtually impossible to sink!  So, Sean and I are tying to get some shots and I'm in the water and Sean is up on a picnic table with the camera trying to shoot this giant claw and it is not working very well.
   Then a group of people comes up in the dark and asks us what we are doing.  And I tell them!  Well, they offer to help and with in two minutes, we have 4 new cast members up to their necks in Lake Mendota helping me move the claw around an we get our shot!  So, a big thank you goes out to Grant Zoch, Tony Weber, Siobhan Beau, and K. D. Reeve!
 
And finally, the new ZVA: ZOMBIE VS. ALIENS bumper stickers are in!  Every Cast and crew member gets one so look for them when you're stuck in traffic!
