I think the idea is to remove the limitation of being able to even view or
browse footage from one project type in the other. Yes, a few with
compatible framerates can be switched. But no 23/24/25/29 or
PAL/NTSC/720/1080 can be switched to each other.
Say you're working in 1080/25p and need to review some NTSC 30i footage...
