Wes, the XDCAM files are muxed video and audio. They are MXF wrapped
but not in the same flavor Avid uses for its MXF media. You can import,
consolidate or transcode to get plain vanilla Avid MXF files. I haven't
tried exporting as an AAF w/ linked media but I suspect it would not
work because I don't think MC supports export of XDCAM files unless
you're outputting to a XDCAM device. If you want to export AAF w/
media, I think you will need to transcode.
