JVC introduces the world's first HD (High Def) camcorder (GRDH-1
approx. $4000). This is serious news b/c before this, the cheapest
HD cam was the one George Lucas used for Episode II which ran for
about $100,000. Of course, it's not going to be the same, but it's
one huge step closer. http://www.jvc.com

Think getting the Oscar is something to joke about with your
friends, well here's the application for submission. So far, I know
of 3 people within my circle of which 2 has won and one is
nominated. Plus, I saw all the Oscar nominated shorts of last year
and 2 out of nine were incredible. The rest were pretty weak and
I've seen better at C-grade festivals.
