Hi, all.

Sure, what do you want to discuss about them? How all of the main characters
(seemed to me, anyway) had some huge flaw/were obsessive compulsive?
White-hat Jack had an affair with Joanne, Sykes is totally bent on pursuing
revenge/justice (shades of Holtz later on, on "Angel"?), Joanne is very
detail-oriented and won't let anything go? If Chaz can't have/do something,
then *no-one* can (story Pete told in the pilot about older brother getting
in trouble, then took Pete's stapler, stapled his own head and blamed Pete
so both of them missed going to see a baseball game), Gail does, after all,
commit fraud to give her mother a better room, and so on.

How brilliant the actors were? <g> I thought that the acting was stupendous,
and that the writing was incredibly good.

How about how there were no real good guys to root for (see first
paragraph)? So even though the viewer knew Profit was
evil/sociopathic/psychopathic, at times the people he was going against were
worse so the viewer had to root for him and be drawn into his web (not sure
if you've seen all of the episodes, and if you haven't, trying not to spoil
whatever you have left to watch).

Or pick something about it to discuss. :)

Anna

I just 'discovered' this show - had rented the first DVD and then almost immediately bought the set after seeing the first 2 episodes. What a great, great...
