I've searched high and low for a notebook with storyboards and have
never found a decent one...
So I decided to create one myself and make it available to anyone else
who needs one.
Each page has four 16:9 frames and a column for making notes.
Every cent earned from the sale of these notebooks goes directly
towards funding our independent film and video projects.

Abused Hollywood Actresses denounce their violent lovers;
consequently, the unionized ACTRESSES lure to TINSELTOWN, a throng of
BLUE-COLLAR MEN.
SYNOPSIS
A furious Lesbian actress, GRACE GRAHAM, unionizes a bevy of
terrified ACTRESSES, after most of them had been viciously assaulted,
by some of Hollywood preeminent ACTORS. As president of a newly
formed ACTRESS UNION, GRACE urges all ACTRESSES to abstain from
social communication with Hollywood's gorgeous predators.
Before long, a new social technique is implemented, whereas ACTRESSES
lure "BLUE-COLLAR MEN" to TINSELTOWN for the purpose of evaluating
their romantic prowess. To enact this innovative, social modus
operandi, GRACE sets out to erect a MATRIARCHAL COMMUNE (EDITH CRANE
VILLAGE) on an abandoned army base in the San Fernando Valley,
exclusively for actresses. However, Hollywood ACTORS won't be allowed
on the premises.
But GRACE'S strategy is soon shattered when the newly erected COMMUNE
is mysteriously bombed. Before long, a determined GRACE rebuilds the
COMMUNE. But lo and behold, GRACE'S woes begin anew. As GRACE dines
in a steakhouse near a window with her two female lovers, AMY and
MOLLY, several gunshots are fired into the steakhouse; within
seconds, AMY and MOLLY falls to the floor, mortally wounded by an
anonymous perpetrator or perpetrators. Will the tragic arson and
murder cases be solved by the hard-nose Chief of Police, MIKE SIMMONS
and will the MATRIARCHAL COMMUNE become operational?

The Hero's Journey (also known as the Monomyth) is the template upon which the
vast majority of successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters are based upon.
It is upon this structure that situations are superimposed. This is why stories
such as Alien (1979), Gladiator (2000), Godfather (1972), American Beauty
(1999), Annie Hall (1977) and many others (all deconstructed at
www.clickok.co.uk/index4.html) appear to be different but are all constructed,
almost sequence by sequence, in the same way.
For a number of very valid reasons, this means that if you want to write (and
sell) successful stories, whether they're Hollywood blockbusters or novels, you
need to master the Hero's Journey in a very detailed way...
***
HERO'S JOURNEY TIP OF THE DAY: MEETING EXPECTATIONS
The audience has subconscious expectations as to what a story is and how it
should be told. For example, children know when a story is inadequate or
incomplete.
One of these expectations is to be led to a cathartic resolution. There are
usually three or four catharses in each successful story, each relating to a
Core Challenges (Romantic, Inner, Outer, Greater).
One of your responsibility as a writer is therefore to build dissonance and then
release it (at least three or four times).
How do you do it?
By following the same process of catharses build up and release, Transformation
and Challenge Resolution that every successful story utilises.

White Horse Theatre Company presents Keep Ishmael, a new rock musical, inspired by Herman Melville's Moby Dick. Keep Ishmael chronicles four friends who are tired of trying to live up to the high standards of their hometown — Naperville, IL. They abruptly flee from "The Best Place in America to Raise a Kid" and set out for adventure in their Ford Pequod. Mayhem ensues as they end up on a crazed captain's fishing boat in the Pacific Ocean chasing down America's favorite whale, Shamu.
Keep Ishmael is performed at Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont Ave, Chicago, Ill. Show times are Thursday, Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., along with Sunday matinees at 3:00 p.m through September 16. Ticket prices are $20. Tickets may be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com, or to avoid service fees, please call the Theatre Building Chicago box office at (773) 327-5252. For more information, visit www.whitehorsetheatre.com.
THE REVIEWS ARE IN! "...there is a real touch of magic, zany charm and originality to be savored in this show." - Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun-Times .
"Like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, the adventurers in Keep Ishmael discover that there's no place like home - even when home is Naperville. Kudos to White Horse Theatre Company for this refreshingly imaginative production, as thought-provoking as it is entertaining." - Louis Weisberg, Chicago Free Press
"White Horse Theatre Company's mission is to reimagine the art of musical theatre through an innovative and diverse perspective. With this piece, the company has done an exemplary job of furthering this ambitious vision. And by the mere fact that this company offers a voice for new musicals, we are given a true gift to the Chicago theatre community." (***) - Scotty Zacher, Gay Chicago Magazine
The Hero's Journey / Transformation is the template upon which the vast
majority of successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters are based
upon. Understanding this template is a priority for story or
screenwriters.
There are more than 188 stages to the Complete Hero's Journey...which
we have identified through the deconstruction of hundreds of Hollywood
blockbusters.

PHOTOGRAPHERS WORKING ON PORTFOLIOS / HAIR STYLIST / WARDROBE
STYLIST TESTING
I am always willing to shoot with new creative and talented
photographers. Are you a student photographer or professional
photographer who is working on his/her portfolio? I am in town and
extremely willing to do some TFP/CD stuff anywhere within a 1 Hour
radius of our hotel (pending getting rental car).
I am a VERY outgoing and enthusiastic performer. I can, however do
serious print jobs – and have. I can always use different shots for
my comp/tear. Most of my shots have been more business casual or
dressy for theatrical headshots and TV/FILM commercial, but I have
recently taken a look towards west coast mild alternative (Ed Hardy,
H&M) not metal, punk, or anything.
If you are a photographer, hair stylist (licensed), or fashion
stylist that is testing or want to get some stuff for your portfolio
while I'm in – I'm all yours. Luckily, I have lots of wardrobe on
this tour.
See my contact information below for headshots, resumes, demos,
comps, bios, etc.

MOXLEY was brought to life by a gathering of musicians with an extraordinary vision to redefine what most people accepted as the standard for Hard Core Metal. Over the past 7 years, MOXLEY has adjusted to the changing times, but has always held on to their old-school roots, to fine-tune what was to become the present day MOXLEY sound. You WILL notice that all MOXLEY songs will continuously mutate from performance to performance, always sounding better each time, so you’ll never know exactly what to expect.
Continuing on with a most radical combination of players… including original madman Guitarist and founder MARK … the unrivaled fury of Bassist BASH… the savage wrath and chest-pounding cadence of Drummer ED… and with the fanatical rage and pit-bull-like intensity of Vocalist SWIFT, they continue to hone their Hard Core madness that has put them in the forefront of others that attempt to undertake this style of music… or die trying on stage. This most absolutely brutal lineup certainly is the tightest and most capable mixture of talent that anyone would have ever thought possible.
MOXLEY continues to strive to bring its audiences to a new level of unbridled intensity and insanity at all of their shows. Priding themselves as one of the heaviest bands out of Philly, they continue to push the envelope to its extreme limit... and typically just beyond it.
If you haven't yet had the opportunity to see them in a live performance, YOU NEED TO... as you will definitely leave with a new appreciation of Hard Core Metal, whether you like this style of music or not.

Part of 9/11 Week on The History Channel(R): Moments of Courage, Acts
of Grace, Triumphs of Will ... COUNTDOWN TO GROUND ZERO
World Premiere Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
http://www.history.com/
PASADENA, Calif., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Hijackers prepare for their
own deaths. A firefighter sends his wife off to work, 81 floors up in
the World Trade Center. Loved ones scramble to reconnect amid the
rubble. Wives watch on television, knowing their husbands may die.
The
September 11, 2001 disaster unfolded in many ways for many people,
and
a myriad of different stories intersected in Lower Manhattan, at what
is now known as Ground Zero. The shock, fear, courage, and triumph of
9/11 is presented through the eyes of those who lived it in COUNTDOWN
TO GROUND ZERO, a special presentation premiering Sunday, August 13,
2006 at 8 p.m. ET/PT 9/11 on The History Channel.
Exactly when the 9/11 story began to play out is a different story
for
different people. For much of America, it started on the morning news
and continued over a terrifying few hours that stretched into days,
weeks and beyond. For the firefighters of Ladder Six in New York
City,
it began when the roar of a low-flying plane interrupted their
morning
coffee at the station. For hijacker Mohammed Atta, it started months
earlier, in flight training schools in Florida. World Trade Center
security director John O'Neill, a 25- year FBI veteran and a leading
authority on terrorism, had warned America of the looming threat
following the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993, and even
predicted that the terrorists would attack the towers again.
COUNTDOWN
TO GROUND ZERO follows these storylines and many others in the time
leading up to the attacks in New York to the brutal aftermath, with
dramatic recreations, personal interviews, and archival footage, in
the process showing the tragedy and triumph that became the twin
hallmarks of 9/11.
COUNTDOWN TO GROUND ZERO doesn't just tell the stories of
individuals,
but re-creates how the events unfolded, minute-by-minute, with very
real tension and uncertainty building. Would more planes hit? Could
the fires be put out? How much time until the towers fall? And most
importantly, who was affected. This re-telling of the 9/11 tragedies
dramatically conveys the emotional intensity of people's lives, as
all
the elements rush toward a convergence during 102 pivotal minutes --
starting from the impact of the first plane and continuing to the
collapse of the North Tower.
Highlights of COUNTDOWN TO GROUND ZERO include:
* The early efforts to pursue the terrorists, including warnings from
Italian officials) and the secret memos to President Bush advising
that
Bin Laden was "determined to strike on U.S. soil."
* The story of John O'Neill, a 25-year FBI veteran who was the U.S.
government's leading expert on Al Qaeda, but who quit his post in
frustration to become head of security at the World Trade Center.
* Tracking the terrorists in their planning for the attacks,
including
their preparations for death and the infamous purchase of boxcutters
the
night before.
* The heroic efforts of Rick Rescorla, a corporate security head for
Morgan Stanley Dean Witter who was instrumental in helping evacuate
the
Towers. Friends and loved ones recall corresponding with him over the
phone as the Towers burned.
* Selfless acts that serendipitously resulted in survival, including
the
stories of Ladder Six Captain Jay Jonas and bank executive Brian
Clark,
both of whom delayed their escapes from the Towers to help others who
were trapped.
* The reactions to the hijackings in flight control centers, and the
chilling realization that the planes were headed for New York and
Washington.
* Firefighters recall the painstaking climb up stairways carrying 110
pounds of equipment, and the race back down to escape the collapse,
including several who were trapped under the collapse and lived to
tell
about it.
