*Co-op Image is an art's education/activism
organization based in Humboldt Park with a: youth art
center, community garden, commercial urban farm, a
cooking show, and a pretty tasty hot sauce so come on
out and buy a bicycle at our vintage bike sale!

These classic beauties are looking for owners who
appreciate the refinement and poise that come with
age. Come check them out this SATURDAY from 10-3 at
the Pontiac Cafe (1531 N. Damen, Blue line, Damen
stop.) Prices range from 40-200 dollars.

If you can't make it to the bike sale then come to our
show
for the first time ever, three area community based
organizations collaborate in an all city Youth
Showcase. Participants from Street Level Youth Media,
Young Chicago Authors, Kuumba Lynx and Co-op Image
Group will rock the crowd with spoken word, live
painting and music. Later in the evening, there will
be a hip-hop show featuring the volunteer talents of
Spare Parts, The Drastics, and DJ Third Rail with MC
Akbar.

All proceeds from this event go to providing a safe
environment for the youth of Humboldt Park through
Co-op Images programming. Tickets are $12 at the door
and $10 dollars online. This is an 18 and over show.
The 2nd Annual Hip-hop showcase door's open at 8:00
p.m. Saturday, July 15th, 2006 at the Abbey Pub
located at 3420 W. Grace (at Elston).

We would love to see you at either event or both, hop
on your new bike to the benefit if you like as all the
bikes are set to roll.
