Hi all,
Still trying to find out more about those new production programs? Just learned that Media Services is running a FREE seminar on the big two, "ProductionPro Budget" and "Gorilla." The date is April 21st.
"Gorilla" takes the little-bit-of-everything approach to filmmaking by providing small modules for almost every production phase. "ProductionPro Budget" is designed for indies who need to deliver film budgets that are a bit more serious - it includes templates, rate books and new tools to get the industry's most accurate numbers. Both offer free trail versions - Gorilla (www.junglesoftware.com) with PC and Mac versions runs for 15 days, ProductionPro (www.setmanagement.com), a PC exclusive, is good for 30 days.
Media Services holds seminars throughout the year, but it's not often that they cover both indie leaders at the same time. If you're making films and want to know how the industry is changing, these are must-go classes. (If you're an independent, for sure there's no more reason to spend a small fortune for that old studio standard.)
Classes are April 21st from 10am to noon in BOTH New York (30 W. 22nd) and LA (500 S. Sepulveda). The seminar is free, but seating is limited. You've got a make a reservation. In LA call Steve Fishman at 800-333-7518. In NY call Steve Bizenov at 866-414-9615.
