Hello chicago!!
CALL FOR ENTRIES: America's Funniest Political Videos (AFPV) is a screening of
humorous political short videos to take place in early 2004 in New York City and
San
Francisco, and for possible future distribution/touring festival. We are seeking
videos
of funny protests, as well as pre-produced videos on political topics, cartoons,
funny
and political music videos, subversive/political comedy routines, etc. Videos
on any
political issue of any political persuasion from any country will be accepted,
though
we tend to like shorts that are critical of the George W. Bush. Videos must be
in
English, or subtitled in English (unless there is no language, or if the humor
can be
understood from context).
Videos must be under 10 minutes. Any original format accepted for exhibition of
selected videos, but submission copies are accepted ONLY on VHS NTSC 1/2" or on
CD-R as a uncompressed QuickTime movie.
Send to AFPV, 222 Bundy Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 (because Brooklyn postal workers
are not the most responsible folks). Entry copies will not be returned, even
with SASE,
so don't send originals. If you like, send a self-addressed stamped postcard
along
with your entry to confirm receipt of your video(s).
Postmark deadline for entries is October 31, 2003. IF YOU ACT NOW, ENTRY IS
FREE!!
Three submissions maximum per entrant. Separate entry form for each entry, but
multiple entries from one entrant may be put on the same tape. No prizes (maybe
you
will get a T-shirt), no pay, you keep the rights. For entry forms and more info,
go to
http://www.AFPV.net. If your questions are not answered by the website or info
form
or you are interested in screening AFPV in your town, e-mail us at
