Hello Bay-Area Film Lovers!
The 2006 48 Hour Film Project is heating up, and with the June 23rd Kick-Off just two weeks away, we think it's time to get to meet one-another BEFORE the proverbial starting gun resounds. That's why we're hosting a Meet and Greet, next Wednesday June 14th, for everyone interested or involved in the 2006 San Francisco 48HFP event.
San Francisco 48HFP Meet and Greet
Hours: 7:00 to 9:30, come any time.
Location: BOCA, The Bar of Contemporary Art http://www.sfboca.com
414 Jessie Street (off 5th St. btwn Mission and Market)
Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=414+Jessie+St.,+SF+CA&om=1
There are two municipal garages in the area, decent street parking, and the Powell St. BART/MUNI station is just a block away!
It's part social-hour, part Q&A session (with me your LP), and part networking opportunity. After all, the 48 Hour Film Project has always been dedicated to the fun and excitement of film-making, and my greatest hope with this event is to bring the great Bay Area film community together in a unique way. Here is a chance to meet others like yourself, who relish the very chance to spend a weekend of their lives making an original short film! Sure they will be competing too, but the competition is just a part of it. It's really your chance to push your own limits, and have a blast doing it. If you'd like to join a team, the Meet and Greet is also a perfect chance to meet team leaders who are looking for teammates, and others who are just interested in flimmaking in general.
As noted, I will be there to answer any 48HFP questions you may have, as best I can, and fill you in on any details you need. I'll have a copy of the Official Rules, a mess of papers and info, and some great big envelopes too, of course... Hope to see you there!
