"In Focus: The Making of a Short"
Check out MacFilmmakers this Wednesday!
An always popular segment of a MacFilmmakers meeting is showcasing
notable work by local filmmakers followed by Q&A. This Wednesday,
Joel "Sinohui" Hinojosa of Emerging Artist Productions and his
producing partner Bernard Fok will be presenting an extended cut of
their most recent short film "In Focus".
The originally 7-minute short was screened as part of the most
recent 48 Hour FIlm Project in San Francisco, where it screened at
the Roxie Theater. Now at a full 14 & 1/2 minutes in length, Joel
and Bernard will be discussing the process from inception to final
cut with members of the cast and crew in attendance
Shot digitally with prime lenses, the film is already gaining
notoriety, including its acceptance as an official selection of the
Kearny Street Workshop's Festival this September. For a look at the
poster for the film and a brief clip at popular online media site
MySpace, go to:

Doors open at 6:30 pm and meetings are open to the public. The
meeting is free. Parking is plentiful and free. All you have to do
is show up.
For those new to MacFilmmakers, De Anza Three Auditorium is located
at Apple's campus in Cupertino in a large building near the
southeast corner of De Anza Boulevard and Mariani Ave. Here is a
link to map. Note: just pay attention to the red hand on the right
side of the diagram (under the dreadfully out-of-date reference to
an "October 23rd Meeting"):
