I am interested in joining a group for this year's Vegas 48 hour film
competition.  I work as an emergency physician in northern california,
but love to work on these films.  I've worked as an editor and DP for
last year's San Francisco, Vegas, and National film competitions.  I
really just enjoying getting more experience so I'm interested in
helping in anyway possible.  I'm in the process of making some schedule
switches to make myself available from Fri - Mon a.m. in the end of
May.  Any teams interested please contact me and I'll get back to you

I did notice a mistake (that was my fault) and if

I just finished the S.F. 48 hour film festival and had a blast.  I

This year in LAS VEGAS, on Friday, August 4, teams draw their genre from a hat and receive a character, prop, and line of dialogue that must appear in the film.   On Sunday, August 6, teams race to drop off their masterpieces.   Films screen on Thursday, August 10th at the Regal Stadium 16 at Red Rock Hotel and Casino. 

The Project is open to pros and amateurs alike.  Teams will compete against each other to represent Las Vegas at the 48 Hour Film Project's Annual Awards Ceremony and to win the coveted "Best of 2006" prize.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am in the process of
securing a location where we can screen the 48 Hour Film Project
films in a fundraising effort for the vicitms of Hurricane Katrina.
Mark and Liz at 48HFP headquarters are putting together a DVD with
some of their favorite films from across the country - it will
likely be a 90 minute compilation. My thought was to screen all
three Las Vegas groups for all the folks here that were turned away
as well as those of you who just couldn't sit through 35 films in
one night.

There are many fundraising events happening around town right now.
Each one of them are worth attending.  See www.rocknrollwine.com for
an event this weekend.

I'm also very close to announcing the date for the 48 HFP awards

everything donated...

Thanks to everyone who voted for the AiLV Film Fanatics'
film "Clapped".  These students worked very hard with a very small
budget (like $0) to produce what I felt was an amazing project.  This
has been a great experience; we can't wait for next year!
